I've been thinking of adding the first video to the expanded. I like to have an internationally conscious approach to my writing, since I'm a writer. The man in the second video sounded a little more mature. And since April 1st was coming up, I didn't want anyone making jokes of the narrator of the 1st video. I'm late for my hospital appointment and will share more later. Hi, looks great, just one minor question---it looks like you posted the 2nd video (Ridler Gaming) and not the 1st video you commented on (Nick Reineke's Indie Impressions.) They're both great vids, I just thought I would ask whether you meant to link the Impressions one you commented on. Thanks ithamore I'm glad you are liking the vibe. I really appreciate the exposure.

I had an ultrasound done on my liver yesterday. I figured it was going to be fatty and wasn't surprised when the Taiwanese doctor said there was something that looked like a tumor. He said it is most likely benign. He was also kind enough to show the difference between the darkness of my healthy kidneys flecked with points and tendrils of light vs. the dull brightness of my liver to give me a visual comparison.
This plus an X-ray of my left knee to make sure there were no cracks in my left knee cap to appease myself and those close to me that there was no bone damage caused by a stupid jump I made while traversing rocks and small boulders in a river with my daughter last Sunday outside of the Cat Village. Plus quick consultations from two doctors and a blood test that ended up showing I don't have hepatitis or diabetes. All of this cost less than $12 US, since I'm on the Taiwanese health care plan. So, there was at least some financial and situational silver lining to my last 2 medical visits.
I'm supposed to go in for a CT scan next week to pinpoint the tumor. Whether or not it is for a potential biopsy or surgery, I'm not too concerned with as long as it's OPT.

I've been watching Vikings, it's quite enjoyable. Probably 4/5 stars so far, it helps with the wait for Game of Thrones.
The videos on their website alone were enough to get me hooked. A little while ago, I watched " Paul Williams Still Alive". As soon as I found out he was the writer behind the "Rainbow Connection", I couldn't stop watching and was already quite intrigued with the film because of the approach and by how much it had shown me of Paul Williams as a 70's icon before it informed me of that. Since he is in the film most of the time, the director did a good job of presenting a well formed portrait of the man.

Prolific Paul. That's one I once gave myself, and I'll share it.

i think a big part of this is just that i don't enjoy most of the genres being created today. i hate FPS games for example, and can't play them at all (as eva will tell you; whenever i tried to play halo with her i just wound up shooting at the floor half the time and getting scores like 0 kills 33 deaths). i also hate actiony-rpgs (rpgs that aren't turn-based) and most rpgs today are not turn based. so basically a new game in a genre that i'm interested in (turn based strategy/tactics, or turn based RPG) rarely is released. the last "big budget" game that i enjoyed was civilization 5, and, before that, persona 4
Do you like chess? Because chess.com and some word games are games I like to play. There I would like to discuss with anyone who would like to discuss making indie games on facebook, I'd be happy to discuss with you while turn-based-playing.

I'm so hardcore I can't decide which softball shirt I've already retired and am going to sleep on it 'cause I'm working here and need to sleep on it. Then I might be able to decide which whether or knot I'm wise enough to which softball in the morning.

josef fares is a younger brother himself, dunno why he'd be racist towards little brothers or maybe he's a self loathing younger sibling
Thanks. I didn't know that. And sorry if I've stepped on any toes.

is
is "little brother" now an offensive thing to say?
is that a thing now?
No. When it's used correctly, it's fine. But I don't believe belittling a younger brother is good, and that is what I got from the video instead of two brothers trying to save a father.

I promised a fellow linguiphilic a list of neologisms to humor him to help him with his cold, but I thought it would be more constructive to invite the TIGForums community.
First of all, this dates back to "collective slow", which was ignored by the Urban Dictionary as a description for traffic.
So, I submitted to him:
dispunkulious
"Were the tissues grody or dispunkulious?"
So, please play along with your neologisms and phrases. This is a linguistic playground: please expect some chuckles and maybe a bruise or two.
I offer: rantious; and a phrase: "Are you shutting left or right? Because you're not shutting down."

Update 1
I woke up early, so I already have what I feel to be some good ones.
Bipedal Alarm Clock: my daughter's feet.
Melliferously melodious as in "I woke up feeling melliferously melodious because of the synesthesia induced by my bipedal alarm clock."
subling: an offer I will accept from Superb Joe but will promote or secede from according to my own free will if necessary.
high-fidelity stereotyping: still using stereotypes.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to switch to Teacher Paul mode a.k.a. Mr. Villapiano.
The topic of brothers and themes about brothers deserve a lot of respect.
My brother is my best friend. I'm older than him, but I chose to call him a younger brother instead of a little brother.
So, I felt insulted yesterday when I watched the video. I feel more insulted today by forcing myself to finish the video.
But before the teacher OS fully loads, I would like to share a few last points. "Little brother" x slang = is the euphemism I've heard too often as a teacher. The mechanics of the gameplay are interesting, but it is socially apathetic. Two people can tie a shoe: I don't think I would have learned to tie a shoe without someone's help.
I think we got the teacher OS up to 75%, so I'll boot-down and now want to apologize to anyone besides the creators behind said game that might have felt insulted.

most of the games i played (maybe 90%) i played before youtube existed (and before gamefaqs existed for that matter) -- so i still feel it's cheating to go and look up how to get a secret ending, let alone to watch it on youtube
GameFAQs was launched in 1995. Have you really gamed so little in the past 18 years that everything you played during that time only makes up 10% of all games you've played total? correct i was born in 1978 and the majority of games that i played were in the 80s and early 90s. i haven't really played many games since then I too was born in 1978 but during a blustery January on my granddad's birthday. However, I don't think I would have been able to beat SMB1 without some "Nintendo Power" tips a friend had shared with me nor would I have been able to exploit the turtle shell trick until my lives went past numbers to letters and the subsequent world of glitch. Having too many lives became the last life. And since then I have learned it is okay to sometimes play efficiently and academically. Digressing aside, I have a game to share. BigManMash Z, X, C and V until the little people kill you.

from derek's article-link i especially liked this passage:
"You know the drill when starting a JRPG: read an F.A.Q. to discover what seemingly innocuous tasks you must perform throughout the game in order to get certain rewards and/or "The Good Ending" (Suikoden 2 anyone? Tales of Symphonia?). Japanese games want you to master their fictional worlds on their terms, rather than take control of it and creatively subvert it with your individualistic ego."
i think part of that is because (stereotype/generalization) the japanese culture sees people as random pawns in the hands of fate, whereas in the west we are told that we make the big decisions and our lives depend on our own decisions. consequently, in western rpgs, the ending is determined by choices in dialogue trees. in japanese rpgs, the ending is determined by some obscure stuff that is usually pretty random and non-obvious, like not killing any of your party members in disgaea, or whether or not you collect 108 characters in suikoden
If I want the good ending, there is Youtube. I just want to play the game, and I'm getting old, lazy, and trying to be more efficient with my time. Also, I always saw the "seemingly innocuous tasks" as an attempt to immerse the player in another culture (fictitious or not).
