Idea 1: Putting my finished game on TIG's front page. Idea 2: Purchasing my game, but paying more than its worth ... the winner is whoever pays the most.
Just the two ideas for now.
A voice inside my head saying:: nobody likes a smart-ass you dumb-ass, now they'll ignore you even more, if that's even possible.

It's all following my heart too, which I think if you can do that, for any indie, that's a really cool and satisfying thing.
Plus it must feeling rewarding finding out your fans from all over the World like this. Your game is one of the reasons why I'm trying to make fun games. Just keep going mate, don't let anything get you down. The system is made to get you down on your knees, but you just go up and do the opposite from what the system wants you to do or be. If we would all do that, we'd beat the system for sure. I'd purchase the game, but like I said no iPhone or iPod touch, I don't even have a Mac ... hopefully one day. Just can't find more time, I don't even have a spare time these days. Writing message here is all the spare time

Sadly my career has been absymal ...
Mate, I almost started to cry ... I feel your pain! I've put info about your game on my site: http://codergames.com/news/games/qwak-iphone-ipod-touch-puzzle-platformer-game/I'm a new indie, the site is not that visited, some 50 visits on average per day, but it tends to get higher, we'll see. I just can't understand how people go with what companies serve them, can't people think by themselves, can't they see how great your work is? Lets pray together to defeat the evil!

Thanks matey! Don't forget, if you get the iPhone version, please remeber to rate and review it on the AppStore! Just lets people know how awesomely wonderful the game is, keeps me making more games (rather than appling for work at McD's ... lol). Sadly I don't have an iPhone (I'm probably the only one, no time for anything these days). How old were you when you made Amiga version, if you don't mind me asking? What happened with you, making such great and fun game should have opened a lot of doors for you. Are you unemployed now? Don't apply for work at McD's no matter what: http://wakeupproject.com/VList.asp?Series=29&Video=153

The reason why I asked is that I'm searching for people who would like to join forces, fund together a new portal which will be dedicated to their own games. The portal would be maintained with a code of brotherhood equally among them.
Eg. we join forces, purchase a new domain and host and then advertise ourselves and our sites and games, write articles and blogs. I'm familiar with SEO, etc.

@JaSp ... but that obstacle-avoiding game will look like SMB3, right? (trying to be funny) Seriously, how hard is it to hack a rom? I never done it, don't even know what it is. Its the hacking happening on a binary level, do you have tools for that?

That's a lot of time, quite a big effort. Do you plan on releasing it through some of the publishers or on your own? Do you plan on marketing it in articles or just online?

Hey everyone! I'm a new independent game developer doing everything: programming, graphics, 3d modeling, animations and music composing. Released my first game in April this year, already working on a second one. I just want to say how great it is to be a part of, probably, the largest indie community. Keep up the good work guys!

Since I'm new in the whole independent game development entertainment, I can't give any advices to anyone (trying to be funny .. its not working), but I was hoping to hear something from you. Lets put my game aside (for a moment), here's what I did with zero investment:
1. internal SEO of my site 2. created PAD file 3. manually submitted that PAD file too PAD rings and all popular shareware and download sites 4. posted couple of articles, manually 5. posted on couple of blogs, again manually
And its giving results, that's the reason why I'm working on the second game. Its not giving as if it was backed up with professional marketing and publishing campaigns, but still, its good enough for me as I work alone with a zero budget.

People hello! This is not a spam, I posted couple of days ago info about my first game in a wrong section. It was my first time here and a first mistake of many I'm a new indie game developer working on my second game, very busy. And now after saying all of this, the post is somewhere in the "Indie Games" section Its true, I wanted to spread the word about it on many different forums, so I was visiting all indie related forums opening account and posting info about my first game. There you go, I couldn't be more truthful. Keep up the good work guys!
