i like the first one much better... it has an organic feel to it really good
Well... it was painted by hand. But I somehow got the feeling that people don't like it because it's too messy. :/

I've shown this to many of my friends and got very varying comments. What do you think, could you imagine yourself enjoying this kinda graphics in a game? They're painted by hand, and although they look somewhat sucky, I hoped that the overall impression would be still positive. The other possibility would be doing the graphics with computer, but I fear it would start to look too much like Braid.

Ah! Hempuli, you've reminded me. Thanks. Tell us, is hotlinking to your site ok? Or should I remove it and chuck it on an imageshack? I guess hotlinking to my site is very much ok. Especially when it is done to a thread like this

True, but it's just as easy to make the effort to look around you.
If you live in the city, try actually looking up. I was 13 or 14 before I realised how beautiful the architecture was in the centre of the city I'd been living all my life.
If I try to do that someone will probably spit directly to my eye from a window.

Like everybody, I love that pixel-art-pixel-shader effect on the window. Fact: drawing cartoons is pretty fun! I love these! The vampire-like guy is especially cool :D

They're just games, Greg, nothing to worry about.
what? Why've you got 2000+ post on a games forum then? I dont get what your trying to say with that..unless youre being condescending(sp?) or something. anyway, its not really anythin to do with you is it hideous, so stop trying to argue an callin me a baby, I asked him to change it, and we shall see if he does. Ehh. I see that it wasn't funny sarcasm. *agrees with Hideous* Quite unnecessary.

Although it might look like a shooter, it's a psychological "horro" -like thing. And although some of you maybe like the graphics, I doubt it will be finished. (that thing on the wall is indeed a window. There's a scientist looking through it.)

YES, KEEN. I still play them sometimes. F10 + g! YES, HEART OF DARKNESS. My big brother managed to get to the final 'boss', but then he didn't know what to do there. Absolutely brilliant game.

When we're at the block puzzle games, I must mention Puyo Puyo The original version on SNES was really great! I didn't like very much the overcuteness of the GBA ones. Also the musics were best on SNES.

.gif) One of my favorite games of all time. I love how it looks! Gnawd! Why not the original one? :D I think the best kirby games were the first one on NES and Superstar on SNES. And indeed, they both were very very charming.
