There's nothing wrong with FL Studio, but nothing beats the beautiful simplicity of PXTone Seriously, if you're looking to get started with music composition, PXTone is by far the best starting software I've seen. Would you recommend it over Musagi? I was fairly impressed with Musagi, but haven't tried PXtone yet.

Amazing game, great work! ^_^ Very charming game in general.
(for some reason I see the treasure as cats with giant heads, but I like collecting cats)
Please hurry up with the mac version, I'd like to play this on my main machine. Runs nicely on my XP laptop though.

Name: Hayden Scott-Baron (but most of my friends IRL call me Dock) What I does: Mostly a graphic artist, doing 3D, 2D and illustration. Can do 2D sprite animation, but not really 3D animation. I also do games design and programming, but I only program in Unity, and not very well. Some of the things I worked on: Pro stuff: Rollercoaster Tycoon 2+3+expansions, Thrillville 1+2, LostWinds, some mobile phone stuff. Indie stuff: Tumbledrop. What I want out of TIGjam: Mostly to meet up with like-minded individuals. Not sure whether I can really get much game development done there, but I'll have my laptop, wacom tablet and I have personal projects to chip away at if nothing else. Prefered type of alcohol: Light beer such as Asahi or Leffe Blonde, but beer and wine in general is all good. Kaluha + Milk is very yummy too, tastes like alco-nesquik. Desirous of accommodation: I have a friend who lives in Zone 2, so I'm sorted for somewhere nearby-ish to stay. If you could be any animal, which animal would you be? So long as it can type sixty words a minute and use a pencil, I don't mind which.

Your payment for £25.62 GBP has been completed. You are now being redirected to TIGJam UK Oh look what happened. I guess I'll see you fine gentlemen there, then! I can't promise how 'involved' I'll be, but I'll bring my trusty 12" XP laptop along and see how it goes. I can't do any Unity stuff on this, of course, but I don't own a macbook. I'll be there all of Saturday and a bit of Sunday. Also, might I suggest you update the first post of this thread to include details of how to sign up and a link to this article? I had to hunt the Tigsource post out of the news archive. A 'what to expect' post would be useful too, such as the USA one where they talked about an end-of-jam meal. Any plans for that sort of thing?

robotacon: That tutorial of mine was mostly intended to give people a kick-start in using musagi and not so much in how to make good music, but I like the structure of it - the way it shows step-by-step what I did (even if what I did was crap).
I just went through this tutorial at lunchtime, and I've come to love Musagi! The tutorial also helped me out with some general knowledge of constructing game music (even though I'm using garageband much of the time), so I really appreciate it. Luke Stark, Composer Planet will be my next stop! Thanks!

Spent my lunchtime going through the tutorial for Musagi. It's a really great little program for chiptune style stuff, although it crashed on me a couple of times... ;_; I can definitely foresee myself firing this up in order to do some game music in the future, even though I would have to fire up VMware Fusion on my mac at home to use it.

I'm still weighing it up and checking my schedule. ^^ I can't come for the whole time, that's for sure, but I'm currently leaning towards being there some of the time.
