I don't know why but this game idea sounds pretty familiar...

Yes! I've seen your mockup before (I mentioned that earlier in this thread). Great idea! In fact, it inspired me to try my hand at creating a full-blown game out of the idea. You can PM me if you'd like to discuss this further, I'd rather not hijack this thread.

Edited: for extra politeness and humbleness!

How about Abrickadabra!

What about something like Arkane Quest (or Arkano), as a double reference to Arkanoid and arcane.

Actually, I think that's pretty damn good. Top contender so far.

Thanks mate!

Latter: Brick's Adventure (have a protagonist by the name of Brick piloting the bat).

Haha. A protagonist by the name of Brick sounds like a buzz-cut muscley dude who runs around taking a whack at the ball with a baseball bat. That name flows better than any of mine.

I am toying with the idea of converting the staff (paddle) into an actual little wizard holding his staff sideways, running left and right trying to bounce the ball back and forth. I don't have much screen real estate though, so it stays for now unless I have time later to test.

Any relations?

Nope, although I have seen that before. The idea to fuse the 2 game types was a good one, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Ok, I can't really think of a name! I usually have no problems but this one... for some reason is my nemesis. I'm trying for something descriptive, not too long, hopefully clever or funny, but I'd settle for at least interesting.

As you can see, it's a cross between brick breaker games and RPGs. Let me know if more of a description of the mechanics would help.

My lame attempts so far:

Block(s) Quest
Blockventure
Block Quest Hero (kinda doesn't work, you can choose to play a good or evil wizard)
Brick Breaker RPG

Help please!  Beg
