Symmetry button? Since when did MyPaint have a symmetry button? At least since 1.1. That explains, I'm still on 1.0.0.

Takes five minutes to get a web browser up
I'm pretty sure something's wrong with your computer, mang. It's a give-or-take time from starting the OS up to getting to that point. And switching tabs will occasionally stop responding. Fresh install, too. How many tabs have you got? I can easily see a million gazillion tabs lagging Windows right after it's started up, especially if you're low on RAM and not running off a SSD. Usually five, ten when I'm doing homework with resources loaded up. It still shouldn't take that long.

I envy you, surt.
No need. All you do need is MyPaint, symmetry button, a silhouette, Deevad's "basic digital brush smudging" (Set#2, stylus with yellow-orange stroke), and DawnBringer's 32 colour palette. Then you too can doodle with equal mediocrity. Symmetry button? Since when did MyPaint have a symmetry button? On a different note, one could easily find a palette by selecting the anti-alias colors of text. Great for some people like me that suck rainbows at colors.

Yeah, I was pretty much going to rule out everything but Wine (that would ruin the point of the jam anyway ...) I'm not sure about browser games yet, but I'll probably still allow them, again, provided they run native on Linux. It's generally accepted that the web browser is a separate platform as they are intended as data and information transfer and display. Plus I wouldn't exactly call a web browser "ready" until hardware acceleration is a given with JavaScript. Leaving browser games allowed would practically limit the types of submissions to Java and browser games while allowing more people to enter from the broader perspective.

You'd be surprised how many people actually use some form of Linux. I'm totally up for it thanks to finally being bored of playing what little games I have. Why not have it last for a month on a monthly basis if you decide the first one works? In my opinion, one of the reasons that Linux gaming is behind besides the top indie games are these cheesy clones with sprites that look like it could have taken three minutes in The GIMP. And then their developers try to pass it off as "retro."

Clearly you never had Chick-Fil-A fries. Or their chicken sandwiches. Can't compete with that. You just can't. It's like angels were manning the pressure fryers, weeping sweet tears of peanut oil.
You mean this stuff? I can imagine how creepy it might be. You did NOT just insult the Waffle Fry. They look just like they do in the picture and are filled with potato. No empty crisps or artificial things.

Holy moly! I'm glad I don't eat fast food anymore. These fries are either so crisp and hollow that there's nothing left to rot or they never were fries at all.
