As I've heard people say before "Every video game is a copy another one."
There is no exception. Not by a long shot. I'd compare this to the platformers of the '90s and the FPS games of the 21st century, but I think that's close enough to an analogy.

Admittingly, it all started with EarthBound and a tool called "PK Hack".
With it, I made a couple of silly adventures (which got lost in a hard drive crash) and attempted to start on a big kahuna hack with it. It never finished, but it is inspiration for my ultimate dream game. Yeah, my design skills (or partial lack of) began blooming there.

Some shadows would help. It would also be recommended to stay away from gradients unless crucially required. Besides that, it's not too shabby for an iPhone game.

I guess keyboard shortcuts, which is a lifesaver. Some effects as well, but otherwise, it's mainly MS Paint for Linux.

On the arguement, I'll put that the purple is somewhat puke-summoning and Mega Drive sounds like a cooler name.

On topic, however, an genre could be introduced as...Nega-Rave. This genre is pretty much a heavily distorted rave song, except it's distorted to the point it actually sounds good! I'd post a sample if I actually had such skill.

I've always wondered if it would be illegal to download the full version of a game that just so happens to be released under an open-source license (like Quake or DOOM).

I've given up trying to be creative and have starting developing the most video-gamey game of all time. It's called VaniaVaniaVaniaVaniaVania. It plays like a mix Metroid and Castlevania. Here are all the sprites. EAT IT UP SHEEPLE.
Give it an extra "Vania" and you got a VVVVVV ripoff. Well, hello there!

I usually try to whenever I can. Sadly, that would be once homework is out of the way, and even worse, that's not even for a whole week. Perfect for halloween would be that a twelve page essay is a part of the homework.
