Not exactly being worked on, more like a Game Jam project that didn't go anywhere. Pity, really... Well, here's the protagonist sprite at least! idle | walk | swing | Alucard-style backdash | knockback | |

Just thought it would be interesting to post this (and because Chasm Alpha was released today). Left one is from 1 year ago, right one is Dan's revamp animated by me (: Great, but don|t be lazy with the club. Right now, it's bouncing freely. In reality it needs to rest on (=be attached to) the main body, with the hand sort of keeping the connection. Basically the heavier you make the club feel, the better the animation IMO.

AlexHW, that's sweet as hell. I love the green shining through everywhere, like a primed canvas. Definitely something that makes for a super-recognizable style.

I feel so bad posting this here, you people are so good. Anyway I am making a minimal character for a platformer. Which one is fine ? The last one! Mainly because he's the cutest and has basic facial features, but also because he doesn't immediately look like bonks-his-head-a-lot form Bit Trip Runner. Serving up two more portraits for this one private thing, same as the ones before.

This really shouldn't belong anywhere in the vicinity of us mortals. It's almost somehow a relief it's partly a product of technical ingenuity, though honestly I'd feel guilty copying your technique... (You're super generous for sharing!)

Thank you very much for this site, it seems well curated and looks splendid to boot!
No idea how you do it, but it's a super useful tool even when you don't have time to jam, and just want an inspiring glance at what's happening in the world!

Thanks for the nice words! Great to hear no "Blarg he's old and ugly" And since modern gaming is big on this thing, I made a female version as well. Turns out ladies offer a completely different challenge drawing: For anyone interested, I made a progression this time. Click for full size!

Although I'm not finding any time to do private stuff at the moment, I really wanted to do a style test for a possible private project. Sometime in the future. I think you can even see veeeeeeeeery subtle art indications that I started playing Persona 4 Golden if you know what to look for.
