Been working on finding a site that could sell my t-shirt designs on demand since Threadless didn't choose the two abstract designs my friends really wanted. Finally found a site that I think I'm happy with. I need to make my site description more interesting, but anyway, you can check it out here if you like:

Made a two part video of me playing through Ivory Springs if anyone would care to watch. Smiley It's not that quick or anything, just had fun making it. Love this game. (Oh, and I didn't get that awesome upgrade bug, darn...)

Part one can be found here:

Part two can be found here:

Chevy~ That sprite's adorable, and the colours are perfect. I actually like how the portrait shows pupils but the walking cycle doesn't; it reminds me of when there sometimes wasn't enough room to put small details into smaller sprites. Like, you could have made it maybe look more normal by making his eyes smaller in the walking cycle, but obviously by doing that, you would have taken away a great main feature of the character, so by keeping the mass of the eyes, you still managed to keep its charm.

Masna and Nessiah~ Thanks so much!

Shawny~ That's adorably perky. Smiley I love it.

Here's a simple walking animation for the above mentioned character:

Tried to keep his walk sort of chubby looking while at the same time making it look as though he's not having much difficulty, almost like he's used to dealing with his chubbiness I guess.

Caught this yesterday while browsing the top animations; it's awesome. Grin

Wow, that's great... Then again, my family said I looked stupid as heck when I was playing with the PS2 eye toy in Walmart, so I'm not really sure which is worse, sounding silly or looking silly while playing. :D

Simple as always. Designing stuff for a collaborative game project with a DeviantArt buddy. This will be the main character. I experimented quite a bit, and it's weird how it came out looking kind of cell-shaded, though I usually don't give stuff borders, so maybe that's why.

Looking good everyone; keep it up!

Trying to finish it within the next couple of days.
I started this in February I think... It was supposed to take a week  Roll Eyes
I know it's not really a word, but this is delish. Can't wait to play it.

Wish I could show what I'm working on, but it's such a small project once again, I think it would spoil everything. Undecided

Perhaps it has something to do with java on Valter's side in that case? I wouldn't really know; just guessing...

Edit: Trying IAB in quick play now.

Edit2: Worked perfectly for me.
150  Player / Games / Re: Gamejolt on: May 12, 2009, 12:17:46 PM
It doesn't work for me! I tried the quick play option on IAB, but it didn't work beyond the preloader. Actually, it didn't show anything but the preloader.
Quick play isn't fully functional yet. It doesn't work with my game that has an external music file, but it works with my other two. CROS is working on fixing the feature still.

I like how they have Construct in the engine list.
I noticed that first thing as well.

I've uploaded my three little games there, and the place seems really good to me so far. I like it a lot. They offer quite a variety of features (even have a soundtrack feature so that people can listen and/or download your game music tracks which is pretty nifty). Their rating system is top notch in my opinion, that is, the maturity of the game content or whatever, that kind of thing.

Will the parade grow?
You better believe it! I've fallen in love with my cute little walking people, so I'll probably keep on making more until people don't like me so much anymore. (Well, I certainly hope that won't happen.)

Masna~ I could tell that the brown thing was a chest right away... As far as the wall tiles go, it looks like you were going for a minimalistic stone wall look, not bricks (seeing that there's grass on top of them and such), so if that was what you were aiming for, I think it would be even better if you could make the horizontal rows not so straight. I believe that would give it more of a stone wall-ish look. I really love them so far, so keep it up!

Edit: Oh, and Masna, you may want to add a stone wall tile with some grass growing out of the side. Just a suggestion.

Also: Cute characters KniteBlargh, almost too cute. What are they hiding...
Thanks! Yeah, I agree... If I suddenly disappear, don't doubt that my characters may have murdered me during my sleep and buried me in the woods somewhere... Tired

Bones~ I like the second explosion as well. I just looooooooove flatness when it's put to good use, and it definitely was in your creation. You managed to give it depth just with the animation, so kudos. Smiley

Some stuff I've done recently:

[awesome stuff here]

Also, hello I am new to these here forums. Smiley

Hello there! You've got a great style, and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you. Grin

Why not head on over and introduce yourself in this thread: here!

Well, since I totally can't resist cuteness, I decided to make my latest character (seen above) even cuter... Yeah you heard me... Quoted for visibility reasons once again.

Used the same style as my other recent character Melanie, 'cause I thought she turned out raaaaather cute. Have you heard the word cute enough yet? Undecided

Edit: Introducing Melanie's friend Peggy.

It's a minotaur.

Aww... He looks so determined, and then he trips! Tears of Joy I just can't take my eyes off him (that makes me sound like quite the weirdo).

Yet another one of my pixel kids (quoted for skin visibility reasons, though it doesn't help much):

I was going to snip that waving spike of hair off his head, but he ran away from me, and I CAN'T STINKIN' CATCH HIM! Mock Anger

Made him for an art trade with Masna. Hopefully he'll like it.
158  Developer / Art / Re: Art on: May 02, 2009, 06:41:19 PM
Uh, sorry if this isn't the right place guys, but it's not pixel art, so I didn't know where else to show it... Made this with vectors.

If I shouldn't put this kind of stuff here, please let me know.
159  Developer / Art / Re: Art on: May 01, 2009, 07:17:21 AM
How come you're not doing any feet, KnightBlargh?
What Atnas said. I've done feet before, but it depends on the character or overall feel as to whether or not I decide it's really necessary to add them (usually I don't though). They have feet, but they're only one pixel in size. LOL

Atnas, Professordead, and Gainsworthy~ Thanks for the uplifting words guys. Really helps me go on creating. Smiley

I looks quite lovely.
Were you talking about yourself or my artwork? LOL JK Thanks man!

Hey KnightBlargh,

I really like your style :D And i think this piece is excellent aswell,

but i wonder how you make it? First of all, what program? And.. what tools?

Are you just brushing the shapes until you get them perfect? Or are you using like Elipse-tools etc...?

I'd really like to know. :D Thanks.
I do all my artwork with Paint Shop Pro 9 (unless it's traditional of course). The tools I used for this piece were the pen and ellipse vector tools, though I use a large variety of tools depending on the individual piece. Out of all the programs I've used so far, I've found that Paint Shop Pro 9 is best when it comes to vectoring for me personally, but if I were to choose another program, I'd say Inkscape is worth giving a try (it's free, and it has some pretty nice features). Hope I helped you out. Smiley

i also think it looks really great. fantastic details and emphasis, every little part has been composed so well
Thanks buddy. Grin

Quick and random character I just made up. I felt like creating a girl with a big jagged yellow hood, and this is what I came up with. Hmmm...
