Quick portrait of my friend Palt.

This is the first time I've done a vector portrait of someone I actually know, and it's also the first time I've done a real person in my style. He's not doing much as far as the pose goes, but that's actually how he is in real life, so I didn't want to go outside of that too much, 'cause then it wouldn't resemble him as much I guess.

He said he really likes it, so that's good. Smiley

Row row life the plusses
Very cool. His arms disappear in the last panels. :D
I believe it's actually motion lines that we see disappearing, but I thought the same thing when I first looked at it. LOL

I think it might be better without the motion lines under the arms when he's lifting the glasses, because they blend too much with his shirt. Very cute otherwise though. Smiley

What BinaryMind said.

Sorry I don't have any good feedback or anything... Really all I can say is that I totally love this little masterpiece to death (everything, from the music, to the art style, to the mechanics), and I'm thoroughly enjoying playing it over and over again. Nice work guys!

I'm quoting my sprite just to make sure all of you can see it, 'cause the skin is pretty light. (Just previewed this to see what it looks like, and it's still a little hard to see... Sorry everyone.)

I've been suffering with artist's block, because I've been really busy with stupid crap I don't feel like thinking about, and it cuts into my creative motivation. I was inspired to make myself create something after playing Pandaland yesterday; a faded sixties-ish styled girl. Pretty much threw her together. The style in Pandaland is definitely a lot cuter than my style (in my opinion anyway). I'll make more animations for her some time when I get the chance.

Anyway, I've really been enjoying seeing all the creations posted here the past couple days, so keep up the great work guys!

Edit: Added a simple walking cycle.

Definitely yay in my opinion.
I won't spoil anything, but I will say that I found the secret of secret level 2 rather interesting. Well, hello there!

Walking seemed a bit slippery at times, but it made it more challenging anyway, so I didn't really feel as though it took away from the overall enjoyment of the game/experience.

Keep up the good work!

(Adorable Picture Here)
Wazzah!?

I also got some great pictures of him playing, but I'll upload those later.  He looks pretty big in all the pictures I take of him, but he's MUCH smaller IRL.
Oh... My... Goodness... He's beautiful.
Were you talking to him or something, 'cause he looks like he's really listening carefully to what you have to say. LOL

You say that like its not something that drug dealers would want.
The government put the lights in, not the drug dealers, so no, I wasn't saying it like that. Of course the drug dealers like the free advertising. Roll Eyes

Astrospoon's latest comment clarifies my meaning.

:O <3 I love the palette and the pattern. And hooray 2,000 pageviews! Smiley
Thank you! Grin

By the way, your avatar is great. LOL Did you make it?

The difference is, dogs are somewhat more loyal and do as they're told. Cats do what they want and tend to only pester people for food or a stroke. Some people like that, but Ill always prefer the loyalty of a dog. Also cats eyes are too snake like for my liking.
Well, I didn't say I don't like dogs now, but the thing is, my best dog ever died unexpectedly last September, and since he was very loyal to me and was with me at all times, I got so close to him that it really kind of broke my heart (though that may sound really weak to some, I'm sure). I've always been a real animal lover anyway, but my little dog Gussie and I were particularly close as far as dogs go, especially since I'm somewhat of an invalid, and he kept me company.

My cat has that independent nature you speak of ('cause she's so indie), but she's also very attached to me, and she hates everyone else. LOL She's part Siamese (sp?), so she's got that moodiness, and she talks... A lot...

Masna~ You're going to have to upload more photos of your new cat, I hope you realize that.

Wait, so the blinking blue lights don't mean the drugs are on clearance?

:D

I don't really see the point of the lights in the first place. It's like saying "Hey everybody, come and buy your drugs here!" Undecided

Congrats on the kitty! You've probably already seen my cat on Deviantart (love her to bits). I used to like dogs more, but I don't know, cats always seem to like me, and I can't resist their charm and personality.

Baltimore's alright (though I'm not a city person myself). Just depends on what part of Baltimore you go through, and you can usually tell what's a bad neighborhood and what isn't just by looking at the surroundings. Oh, and if you see blinking blue lights, definitely don't go near that area (means there's a lot of drug activity in that location)... You'll be fine though. Smiley

Works for me now too. I really like the different weapon choices (it's pretty fun blowing the aliens up with missiles). The whole game (colours and all) has a sort of stormy ominous feel to it, which I love.

Really great job on this, and I'm so glad I'm actually able to play it now! Thanks so much!

My high score: 81,947

This was really enjoyable; the wing power-up was REALLY fun. Also, as Jwaap already said, the art style is good too. Great work! Grin

Sorry man, still doesn't run properly for me.

Something I put together for 2,000 pageviews on Deviantart today:

Originally drawn with messy ink on sketch paper (love), but I digitally converted it for smoothness and just to be easier to deal with while colouring it and all. The pattern is from a photo I took of one of my pillows. Tongue

@KniteBlargh: that's strange, most recent hardware should be able to run this game... it's just the pixel mode functionality that gives machines problems, something I'm reluctant to remove... I'm curious as to what video card you have? anyways,

ATI Radeon XPress 200 Series. Nothing fancy, that's for sure, but I usually don't have issues like this. Shrug

Anyway, what I saw in the video looked awesome!

I love this game too much.
So anyway, yesterday I tried out the game and started laughing my butt off pretty much, and then my sister came into the room and started laughing like crazy, then (in order) my nephew, niece, and mom, all came into the room and started laughing as I was running into trees and stuff. I had three badgers in the car with bees flying everywhere, and to top it all off, one of the other crazy bears in the forest was stuck in front of me (his face was a riot). :D

You really made my day with this one! Great entry man.
