7. Karateka. This one is pretty obscure, I only found out about it recently and I've only ever seen video of it. It's quite an old game, but uses some impressively accurate looking martial arts moves on the characters.
Wao, that music was shit awful.

Bah.... I'm sure by now, it's rude to post more Tobe stuff, but I figured this idea might be useful for other developers too, so why not. I did a digital instruction menu for the game. It can be found here http://tobesadventure.squarespace.com/gallery/instruction-manual/ or http://tobesadventure.squarespace.com/download/digital-instruction-manual/Since 80% of the replies goes "aww, if only I own a 360", I decided to do this so players who don't get to play it, at least get to see what it's about. Same for myself, I often check on some NDS games, I wish I can play, but I don't have a NDS, so I end up reading the instruction manual

This looks really sweet...with nightcrawler style teleportation and all . My only complain is the character art though. And yes, if testplay is still available, I like to give it a shot

Thanks, it's meant to be gaussian blur. But I did it in flash, and flash tends to pixelate things when you export them in to a bigger size jpeg.

the irate gamer always seems like a cheap clone of the angry videogame nerd to me -- he even has the same rows of nes carts and nintendo power posters in the background
This. I watch AVGN, I used to watch Bytejacker, but kinda stopped since they began plastering the show with ads. I know they have to pay their bills, but still... I used to watch a little of both, but I prefer Irate Gamer because he doesn't hate all games. And, the ads is probably 50% of the show for Bytejacker.

I haven't tried the game, so I wouldn't know
but it seems that the trailer tells me nothing about the gameplay :/ or maybe I didn't understand it

ALSO: Ray what other projects did you know Dan & I did before Iji? I find it weird when people approach us saying they found us through (a game that is not iji)! I also find it nice, since we have done now nearly 4 other projects besides iji lol.
Hmmm... I think I actually know about you guys after you replied on my thread. I have the strange habit to google about people I enjoy speaking to online. And I came across your youtube channel. You had trashman on your front, which I was impress, and I listen to the rest of it too. So yea, now that I know you compose for Iji too, it's like

Kevin is badass.
Anyway, if you're going all out for chibli, you might wanna consider look at sprite from the SNES RPG like Final Fantasy VI or Dragon Quest series. They have giant head which you gives you enough space to draw an expression, and the body is expressive enough.

The teaser was kind of a turn off though. I thought I would at least see a few screen shot flashing by, but it's all text, so I closed it before it ends. Why not edit a proper trailer? Anyway, the concept sounds interesting enough for XBLIG, and from the looks for the youtube comments, the players were pretty happy with it P.S. since you're from the XNA club, my game Tobe's vertical adventure is in the peer review forum with a patch waiting to be passed. So if you could, do help out. Good luck with the sales

Hey, congrats! Everything looks pretty polish from the clip. I only thing I'd nit pick will be the "jewel" design. Not exactly my type The sales seems to be doing extremely well too. 1635 trials and 144 buys? Took me 3000 download to get there. Makes me wanna cry :/ btw, my game is Tobe's Vertical Adventure, in the peer review forum waiting for my patch to be pass. So if you can, do help out. Good luck with the game though!

I came up with a wild west shooter I was ready to make for Iphone, but dropped it eventually due to the theme's lack of popularity. Previously posted in the "show me your pixel thread too, so I'd assume many has already seen it. Another mock up was for my 1st game, Galactic Commandos. You can play the end product here. http://www.e4.com/game/galactic-commandos/play.e4As you can see, the original was much more intense... and somewhat unrealistic, lol. The character artwork is also much more detail. Hmmm... the images are kinda huge, so I'm not gonna put everything up. I'll post them on my blog later, I guess.

My goodness, gentlemen. Many thanks. Here are some more: The second one is heavily inspired by Batman for the NES. Very heavily. I'm reworking the tiles on the first one. Also, those bird-things have one colour too many. Wintery scene is next. Mockups are fun! Jim: Dangerous Dave Remake looks fantastic. All that, and you don't even have a website I can click to? What is wrong with you!
