A note here:  With the new system, entries are created and edited as an ongoing process (and then you eventually flip a big green "submit" switch).  I'd highly recommend creating an entry if you're just thinking about entering, because you can at least glance at the requirements.  It's pretty basic stuff--description, judge notes, etc--but it's super easy to edit it at any time, and then when you're ready to roll make payment and actually submit the game.

New system backend starts here, if you're curious:  http://submit.igf.com/

I'm the solo developer on the new tech--always happy to hear workflow/etc feedback if anyone has suggestions!

Would you mind elaborating a little on what you were trying to accomplish with the changes in the system?
I'm not clear on what letting anyone put their stuff into the system, but only making it official once they pay, is aimed to facilitate for instance.

I want to see more roll playing games. I cannot think of any games where you play a roll!  Huh?

Glaiel, you're making it sound as if Shadow Physics' development has been discontinued, is this true?

It's not out yet, but it's supposed to sometime this year. In its dev thread there are some recent screenshots that look pretty nice

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=2JIKMTcoHLA#t=166s for clarification from the horse's mouth regarding release platformss.

My hypothesis: they're contractually obligated to state the game is XBLA exclusive.
Why else would they continually jump around the question when asked directly in interviews otherwise?

Most big XBLA titles have come to Windows: Braid, Super Meat Boy, Limbo.
The latter one's developer even stated in an interview that Limbo would be XBLA "exclusive for life", only to announce it for PS3 and Windows several months later.

Polytron being but a small team, with a single coder, obviously it makes sense to just focus on XBLA for now, regardless of expectations for other platforms and wishes to accomodate them. I would expect any developer would want as many people as feasible to play their games.  Though it's also being developed using XNA, as far as I know, which would make it relatively painless to port or adapt to Windows, but not so easy for PS3 or any other system.

This may just be regurgitating known information, but I thought it might be helpful to some anyway.

Nice work esc!  I recently added a trailer to my game's page (Nebulous).  Any chance I can get some love?
added to list number 2, and removed from the list of missing trailers.

If anyone wants theirs added/changed or whatever, a direct link to the trailer would be best.

EDIT: Also if you know of youtube trailers of friends or people you follow or whatever, you can suggest those as well. I didn't feel like going through the list AGAIN just to check if there may be a youtube trailer of the games afterall. (though I did know of a few myself, so the chances are great)

I'm not quite sure how to include the Pirate Kart, I only spotted some playthroughs of individual games.

EDIT: If you have a trailer on vimeo, read this gamedesignreviews.com/scrapbook/how-vimeo-lost-me/
you might want it on youtube

another 20 minute interview/playthrough.
Phil explains a bit more clearly just what kind of game it's going to be.

Though there's not really all that much new information here.
