Yeah, it simply had to load, It just wasn't clear to me that the Bloodvessels were the load bar or when they would even be full.
I thought it was just a background piece.
Played a bit now, makes me think long and hard on every move I make, 'cause it's such an unusual concept, having something to step on where there is light, and void where there is darkness.
Didn't get far though, my impatient self couldn't stand having to pick up a key, walk a bit, drop it, walk back, take the light, walk a bit, drop the light, pick up the key etc...

I don't know if I like the new screenshots. The perspective shot doesn't make the game look good, even though you kind of have to show it that way to at least point out to people that, hey, this isn't just a standard platformer. Comparing these 3 new screens to the screens of the older version, I like the older ones better. This is mostly due to the solids/world being lighter than it used to be, making Fez not look as good as he did against some darker shades. White against bright colors doesn't look that good. I am nonetheless looking forward to seeing the game in motion and getting to play it!

downloaded and installed flash player 10, I can get the menu-screen to appear, but the links to Select and Begin are not highlighting for me. I'm on windows XP, and would love to get to try this, but I can't

I would love to see this in action, let alone play.
suggestion: in the 3rd screenshot in the OP, the light made by the lantern, the gradient in that should be radial, not linear.

Trying to set a standard here: mandatory audio controls in each indie game please. That sound-chip based sound of Spelunky wakes my up my mom!
