I don't quite understand. Can you explain further? Sad

well when pixels are being scaled and rotated its doesnt exactly look like old X-bit technology. But ofcourse we all have our preferences concerning pixel art, and different philosophies for creating it. The same thing with say cave story. Did the text bother you? I botehred me alot, cus the game were made in like 4X pixel size... but the text was 1X pixel size. Which broke the illusion, which was a shame. If you look at annabelles fantastic mech animation. She chose to rotate some of the parts of the mechs (the legs), and the rockets. When those pieces of graphics are rotated in flash, they will break and create pixels that are 1X1 pixels in width and height VS. the cool 3X3 pixels the graphics were created in.

see?

 Tongue

I get your point.
However, the rotating those sprites on a real ......idk how to put this..... on the real resolution of the game, it would lead to somewhat these results.

Personally, I don't mind this look, and I don't mind the other one either.

Wellm, He already works for the industry .  he made sprites for Contra 4 and Lock Quest.

28  Developer / Art / Re: How many of you use tablets for your game art? Is it a good idea to get one? on: December 17, 2008, 04:27:03 PM
I got a Genius Mousepen 4500.
Less than 60$ and so far It made everything I needed.
I <3 my tablet, I can't possible imagine doing pixel art or digital art without it.

It also increased my art and social skills and my @#$#$% is now 8cm bigger

This is what I made so far.

This is what I planned for it

not fully pixelated yet, but I could use some critique on this stuff now that I am on the early stages.
I do intend to give it a more Steampunkish feeling to it.
