I used mspaint default palette to do YET ANOTHER TREE.

There weren't enough dark colours so the trunk shading sucks D:

Yeah, everything needs to be started after the competition starts.

Here I hammer pixels together until I get something that looks okay.

Click on the spritesheets with gaps inbetween the sprites to get a version with no gaps (24x16 tiles)

Graphics

Tiles:

The water and the seaweed are 4 frame animations.

The water is a 4 frame animation.

Some simple skeletal (?) animation in MMF2 (using lots of sinewaves and stuff)

The animation doesn't showed the legs angled right but it actually looks like this.

Not very pretty so far, but once I've finished a full skeleton (This is just the legs), I'll see what I can do with it Smiley

Whoops, link fixed.

Also made another.

I might start submitting the ones I make after this to the competition. :3

Also, with the Lue scripting, how much is moddable?

It would be interesting to be able to create custom types of seedlings and trees (and maybe design how they look when they grow to an extent too).

With that you could create a custom map where you have a special tree that looks different to all the others that you have to protect or something Smiley (You wouldn't be able to grow it)

Another small thing:

It appears that if you unlock a chapter, go to a level on it, quit and lock the chapter again, then you go back to the main game screen the level is selected and you can enter it even if it isn't unlocked. ( I only tried this with chapter 1 which was completed in the demo)

The demo is really nice so far Smiley

When you double click a planet to chose what kind of seedling to send, then double click another, the list actually updates to the new planet before moving. Just wanted to point that out Smiley

I totally stole your palette and looked at your tree while I was trying to do mine. I hope you don't mind easyname, I'm not very good with pixels yet.

Don't mind at all. I actually really like your tree Smiley

Also added some blue:

And can everyone stop talking about vaginas. Trees have vaginas. Just accept it and move on.

I want to try a tree too  Smiley

Not so happy with the trunk though :/

Another random unnamed song.

messing around with 6x6 tiles and stupid colour limits

I had some really nice pictures like this BUT THE CAMERA DELETED THEM D:

I don't even know why :/
395  Developer / Audio / Re: Monotone Voices/digital voice effects/etc. on: October 07, 2009, 07:30:59 AM
I need to try and figure out what kind of vocal processing went on to make GladOS sound the way she does. One of the commentary clips in Portal sort of describes what they did; I should listen to it again.

It messes up a bit with the end though.

Play sound/music should automatically add the file to the data elements unless you tell it to play from an external source :/

How do I get the armature bones panel to appear? Huh?

EDIT: Ah, I need to be in edit mode.

Are there any good video tutorials for rigging so that a model can be animated? (I think it's rigging anyway)

I would like to have a go animating something I made in wings.

Tried a walkcycle.

Just messing around.

It's pretty long and really slow, and only uses 1 note at a time (+overuse of echoes)
