Made an itch.io page for it as well because why not

Smiley

This game is an awesome premise, cool art, sound, all works together, and I love these multiplayers. But, I have to admit, this game was ridiculously hard and scoring happened based on who was served to first.

One must be a snake master before playing.

Thanks! Yeah, the controls takes a little getting used to. Half of everyone who have tested it thinks the controls are difficult and the other half thinks they're easy...I didn't ask if they were Snake Masters® though Smiley

This is my summer vacation project – it’s basically Snake + Pong, hence the name. I wanted to try Stencyl, and also actually finishing something for once. I used SunVox for music and sound effects. Let me know what you think!

There are cheat codes as well, here are some really obvious hints:

Also there’s an easter egg which no one will bother trying to find

I think one of the main things I'm thinking about is how to simply, but effectively deliver the feeling of debt, and how it can force someone into taking spiraling risks.

I think an important factor is consequences, that something bad happens when you fail to pay your debt (increased debt, lose equipment, or maybe making new items more expensive to buy) or something good happens when you make your payments on time (lower interest on loans, cheaper items etc?)

Smacking the player with more debt when he fails payments seems a simple way of getting him to take some risks, but it would have to be carefully balanced i think.

You probably know about this, but just in case:

Paying off your debt was pretty fun in Animal Crossing, even though it was really just a counter going down as you deposited money...

Yay, I´m contributing!  Durr...?

I almost never make arts, so these are pretty old.

+1 wide-eyed follower of this.  Addicted

But I felt like pixeling a bit

I for one am glad you did, it looks awesomely awesome! Calling it "reducing yourself to pixelling" is nonsense, it is about style  Cool, and this has oodles of it.

Also, I liked the original blue too.

Did your head make that groove in the ground?  Shocked

Just a small design niggle: you need to move the comments closer to the names of the commenter, or do something else that unifies them somehow, right now the names part is pretty much useless because there is no visual link between them.

FINISHED IT!  Hand Shake Left Mock Anger Hand Shake Right

That was good fun, but I almost had an aneurism trying to get that thing in the spiky corridors. Angry

I think this might be intentional, because why would it loop by accident, but not infinitely?

I think it plays one time for each explosion sprite that is created when the enemy dies instead of just one time when the enemy...er...dies?  Undecided

I´ve had the same thing happen to me when using MMF2, that´s why I noticed it. Of course, it could be that he wanted that effect.

I am looking forward to this SO HARD. Adding the little bits and pieces tripled the goodlookingness, nice one!

I played this for maybe half an hour yesterday, and I am liking it a lot so far! Hand Thumbs Up Left Smiley

I just wanted to let you know about a tiny bug I found: when you destroy those rock-throwing guys, it seems like the explosion sound effect is played several times, might want to put a "one action when event loops" in there somewhere.

Hi, my name is Andreas, and I am from Norway. I grew up playing NES, and one time in 3rd grade a friend of mine told me that he had found a secret level in some Tom & Jerry game where you could make your own games. I went ballistic; this was the best thing I had ever heard IN MY LIFE. When I realized that he was a FILTHY LIAR Lips Sealed I punched him in the nads. A couple of years later we found a copy of Klik n´Play in some computer store and I forced him to buy it. Good times were had, crappy games were made.

Then computer upgrades (and life) happened, and I forgot about KnP, got The Games Factory later on, forgot about that when I upgraded to a Mac. So now it´s Round 3 I guess, Macbook is all Bootcamped up and MMF2 is installed (alongside Graphics Gale, Sfxr, Audacity, PXTone and Famitracker).

So that´s it, hoping to make some less crappy games this time around!
