So I decided to try to do the versus theme at Global Game Jam, and this is what came out.  You are a fish hunter in deep space hunting rare fish for money that is paid to you by space sushi restaurants.  However, over harvesting the fish will result in an extinction.  The music is by the lovely Josh Whelchel.

CONTROLS
PLAYER 1:
WASD - moves
G - Shoots left
H - Shoots right

PLAYER 2:
ARROWS - moves
> - shoots left
? - shoots right

HOW TO PLAY
Shoot the fish to kill them.

Pick them up after their dead to cash them in.

Certain fish are worth a lot of money during the game, pay attention.

The player with the most money at the end wins.

However, if you are responsible for one of the fish species going extinct, you will be fined.

The fine is $100 per fish killed, payable to the intergalatic fish preserve society.

If a species goes extinct, the round will end.

If not, the round will end after 2 minutes of play.

I don't know about if they're required by LAW to do it, but... If you have a trademark, say "Photoshop" or "Google" then you have to actively protect it or risk losing it if it becomes common use.  Adobe strongly discourages people from using the word "photoshop" as a verb, such as "Sick bro, but I think it's photoshopped!"  See here (ctrl+f to Proper use of the Photoshop trademark).

So the doodle™ jump people want to trademark the word doodle™ and therefore they have to protect it against common use or risk losing it, however trademarking the word doodle™ is completely asinine and I direct hostile feelings toward Lima Sky regarding the aforementioned situation.

This really sucks.  Stuff like this has been happening for as long as I can remember, even in the early click community days.  There were people selling CDs of freeware games on ebay for a couple dollars a pop, and the only thing you could do is put some sort of message at the beginning of your game saying that if someone paid for it they were ripped off.  (Hence why bonesaw has a giant message in the beginning about being freeware.) But with game maker you can just decompile and change the game, which is a fear that lingered on the back of my mind when I started using game maker.

Hey guys, quick update.

I've been struggling with the flu these few days, I still haven't recovered fully, so I haven't been able to do any updates. Not to mention I haven't been able to connect to the forums these few days, I'm just getting some stupid MySQL error page. I'm writing this post on a friend's laptop.

Also, as I've been sick, I could't write my page, however, my good friend  Chest Rockwell has volunteered to write the 17th page for me, so I'll be posting that instead.
