Great game. I love roguelikes, I love platformers, I've been waiting for someone to make this hybrid and it's far greater than I imagined it could be.
Most of the bugs and quibbles have been mentioned thrice over so far...
One thing I'd like to request/recommend is a more detailed high score table a la Nethack or Dungeon Crawl. The stats so far are really minimal and it'd be nice to have a record of some of the more memorable deaths.
Also arrow traps + dark level is borderline cheese and more or less an instakill when it bounces you into a pit with a snake at the bottom.
And I'd like to emphasize the difficulties in dealing with spiders, big and small. Their hitboxes are just so wonky, I feel cheated whenever I jump directly on top of one and fall through it, taking damage.
As for the ghost, I'm really split. On one hand, I think the urgency it brings is great and the music when it appears is very effective in making me mad dash for the exit. On the other hand, I feel like this game could be very enjoyable as a slower paced exploration-type game as well.
Well I'd better get back to getting executed by angry shopkeepers.
