Bit late to the party, but here's my two cents.
Adam, If you're still reading this please take note that I do not hate you, I look up to you since I've never actually finished a game so you may or may not take this on board...
The thing with the "indie scene" is that we aren't ALL professionals, many of us are hobbyists that make games in whatever spare time we have. Our games aren't all meant to be THE BEST, THE MOST POLISHED, THE MOST INNOVATIVE. We make games...well I think you get the point. I think that you should lower your expectations of the indie community (just a tad).

68  Developer / Technical / Hosting personal disposable email service? on: November 23, 2009, 11:41:33 PM
I've decide to switch emails and want to protect the new email and use my domain instead of just @gmail.com.
So it turns out spamgourmet is open source and I've taken a gander at it but it seems I'm way out of my league.
So CAN I even install something like spamgourmet onto my webserver and if so how?

Thanks!

Cheers  Beer!

I've actually finished* building Captain Successor, so all that's keeping you from the next big bundle of fun is a bunch of system admin and promotional work I have to do. No promises on specific dates yet, but rest assured you will be playing CS soon.

*"Finished" means I could ship it, but I keep going back to make tiny adjustments that probably don't affect the game at all.

You could cover the excess area with what I assume to be your gui? Although for performance reasons, you might want to check whether certain objects are within view or not and then remove them from the display list.

Are you saying that you want to zoom/scale everything up or do you want to only use a section of the screen?
