One way of imagining a 3D equivalent would be picturing something like a Minecraft world, but you're only seeing one slice, so you play it like 2D platformer (moving left and right and jumping), but with a button so you can switch the direction of the slice. You'd be able to move around that 3D world. Sometimes you'd be moving along one horizontal axis, sometimes the other.
Extend that into 4D by showing a 3D slice, then you can move around the 4D world by switching the direction of the slice. You'd only be moving around 2 (out of 3) horizontal axes at a time, but you'd be switching which 2 they were.

how many kill a kill there is? I only have 23 (didn't watch) isn't a season 26?
Last episode is 24, this week's. With anime, the term "cour" (it ought to be "cours", from French...) gets used to refer to a run of episodes lasting a quarterly TV season. So a cour is often 12 or 13 episodes. But it can be other lengths, like 11 episodes is normal for Fuji TV's noitaminA slot on Thursday and recently Kodakawa seems to have become keen on 10 episode adaptations. Kill la Kill is a 2 cours series: 12 episodes in the fall season, 12 in the winter season. But then there are often special episodes as an incentive to buy the home release discs. Kill la Kill will have one on the last volume.

I always find it interesting how Japanese words end up used differently as foreign jargon. In Japanese, in the context of anime, sakuga (作画) is the drawing for animation frames, including both key (genga) and inbetween (douga), regardless of whether it's good or bad, or for some special scene. The word doesn't even mean animation, e.g. an artist for a manga can be credited for sakuga (such as when working with a writer).

Modern game development in the major publishing space is a young person's effort. Older, wiser heads will naturally look elsewhere.
I think there's actually more of a problem with the same, older people being in control of larger teams, with the younger people not having the same freedom within those teams that the older people had. It's not the older talent, who have reached well paid lead roles, who are being driven out, but new talent.

The results were basically even (and wasn't correlated with which brand they had stated a preference for). For another group, all cups had Coke, but one in each pair was labelled as Coke (and the other they were told could be either Pepsi or Coke). There was a strong preference for the Coke branded one. But for a group where all cups had Pepsi and one in each pair was labelled as Pepsi, there was no particular preference for the Pepsi brand.

The reason the politeness level is less is probably more because the characters tend to be talking to close friends most of the time where casual language should be used anyway. In situations where it's appropriate, most characters (... that one might want to emulate) would use polite language. It's certainly more natural than textbook Japanese.
As an aside to this, there's quite a lot of anime characters who are overly polite. In particular, there's many anime school girls who use keigo even with their best friends in their class (usually mixed in with characters who do switch between tameguchi and keigo appropriately). Because that's more cute and feminine than how real teenage girls talk... Regardless though, for someone learning to speak Japanese, of all the things there are to learn, when politeness is expected ought to be among the simplest. I mean, if someone finds that a struggle, I'd worry more about their grammar and vocab.

i think the main problem is that anime japanese tends to be at a lower politeness level than normal japanese between strangers. so worst case someone would be using like da all the time instead of desu
This is a complicated subject, but one common part of how awkward foreigner Japanese is stereotyped is poor keigo, particularly with desu being used a lot. If someone inadvertently got into the habit of using tameguchi they could actually end up sounding more natural, while also excused for doing it by virtue of being foreign... But, anyway, it's not like someone could learn to speak Japanese from just anime, and desu and -masu forms are part of pretty much all beginner lessons, so this is an unlikely problem to have.

howso? i said that nobody in the roman empire claimed that slavery was wrong or that it should end; aristotle wasn't in the roman empire, and actually elsewhere said that slavery is natural and right, and seneca just said that people should treat slaves kindly, not that it's wrong or should end. i don't really see a contradiction
It's clear from the quote from Aristotle that some people had argued that slavery was unjust, and Aristotle did treat their view as something with some legitimacy, worthy of consideration. Aristotle was Greek (no shit), but Roman philosophy was founded on Greek and if the concept of slavery being potentially unjust existed as something Aristotle felt was worth discussing, then this was something effectively proposed within Roman philosophy too (the Romans wouldn't have treated it as anything novel). And the quote from Seneca contradicts: the idea that slaves were just as human as the masters wasn't even proposed by the most enlightened of philosophers, it just was something that would have been considered absurd

EDIT: While on the subject, is there a standard/better method of doing what I'm doing? That is, changing a given number from XXYYY to XX?
Dividing by 1000? Do a conversion from float type to integer on XXYYY, then the division as an integer operation.

Sony designed and manufactured the CXD53155GG in collaboration with IBM and Toshiba. It's not like they grabbed an existing off-the-shelf SoC and slapped it into a box like Ouya.
There might not be an off-the-shelf SoC with the same combination of clock speeds, core counts, etc. but it's that kind of variant on a mobile SoC. There's not really anything special for games about it. The iPad launched a year later was a step up (probably a larger step than the Vita is from the Ouya). Biggest performance advantage is that the Vita screen is just 960x544.

Not really comparable. The Vita TV hardware was designed specifically to play games. The Ouya has an off-the-shelf mobile phone SoC.
The Vita's is just a minor variant of an off-the-shelf SoC.
