currently reading Thud!, in the discworld series, by Terry Pratchett
There's also a pretty good boardgame based off that book. Surprisingly enough called "Thud!". It's one of my favourite board games, and the instructions are hilarious.

Ooh fences! I've noticed a new small shrub around the place too. Still haven't seen any of those slimes yet, or diamonds for that matter.

Those meat buns look pretty delicious. Do you make them yourself? Or buy them and just cook them up. I haven't really seen them in the uk, but no doubt i've just not looked in the right places.
For me my usual meals are either pizza or italian pasta dishes. Mostly vegetarian because it's cheaper and usually just as tasty. I do treat myself to some good quality fish or chicken every now and then. Need to get into pulses more as they're delicious and very cost effective.
Also is proper ramen just the brothy dishes with noodles? I make that every now and then and it's great. Makes a right mess to cook though, but that is probably just me!

If you say absolute truth doesn't exist, you're a knucklehead. That statement was trying to be an absolute truth, and disproved itself in the process.
I was saying absolute truth is not within the grasp of us mere humans, not that it doesn't exist. Having read over what i was saying i'm not sure where i was coming from. Obviously being bored at work and unable to work on my minecraft mansion is making me think strange thoughts.

This is not the same as it not existing at all. True, but for me it's the quest for truth that is more interesting than the truth itself. Scientifically getting closer and closer to a solid theory and all that jazz is fascinating to me. And then new theories arrive that turn all those previously believed truths to be rethought.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. truth is universal.
I believe more in beauty, but think truth has more value.
Truth is a subjective opinion based on the known facts at the time. Two people can be convinced of opposing "truths" because they have seen different sides and elements of it. Unless we're talking absolute truth which really doesn't exist for humans. We just have best theories.

I actually expect to see such a feature in Minecraft in the distant future, at least through heavy modding or so. Hm, Notch creates a unique innovative game and gets invited by Valve. Hm, Narbacular Drop's team was hired by Valve, leading to Portal. Tag's team was hired by Valve, leading to Portal 2's new fluids. I wonder if we're going to dynamically build castles and explore caves in Portal 3.. I didn't know that about tag's team. The portal 2 trailer did make me think of them. That's awesome that they got picked up.

I love the idea of a moss that can sometimes be found in caves that is slightly luminescent. That would be a really nice eery effect. Maybe you could cultivate the moss and use it to decorate your buildings.

I can't stop playing this stupid game. Every time i think i have gotten away from it to work on something productive i start daydreaming about how i am going to build the next section of my manor .... damnit! Also, someone on another forum posted this (he hadn't done it, just seen it). http://i.imgur.com/TvkCU.png (apparently the guy used some external software to make the big spheres, but it's still incredible)

I agree with Tobias. Really depends on what kind of workflow you have. If you are spending most of the time in one app (photoshop, maya, whatever) then one larger screen is far better. If you're constantly alt tabbing to other apps then two would be good. I really want a second 1950x1080 one myself but i'm saving up for a laptop.

The setting looks awesome. But i couldn't get past the gameplay of bioshock (never tried 2), the setting atmosphere was great but i just hated the gameplay. I've tried going back to it two or three times and always get a few hours in and accept i just can't like it. Shame.

That was a pretty bad choice of reference shot. It's so blown out that it's almost all either fully white or almost black. As such there aren't really that many examples of different shades in your drawing. The pencil control looks pretty good though. Nice and neat parallel shading Glad to see the thread isn't totally dead
