That article is terrible, but the site gets my approval by default because of the reference to the longest journey.
Wait, does the fact that they named it after a game that starts with the attractive female character being in her underwear make them sexist?

That's sad. If it's any consolation, look up Fischerspooner. Their music sounds similar and they're still making some. Nice, never heard of them, but they seem pretty good so far. Cheers edit: Favourite up and coming band of this kind of music is French Horn Rebellion. I saw them live about a year ago, they've got a wicked sound and are hilarious. Check out their videos on youtube.

About a month go i started really getting into a band called "Ou est le swimming pool". Really good electro pop stuff. I then forgot about them. Heard a song by them today, and i decided to look into them more. Turns out the main singer killed himself a month ago. This video is actually from the gig he had just done.
Not really sure why, but it's affected me pretty weirdly. Partly me being selfish and wishing they'd be around to make more of that lovely sound, but also because a 22 year old at the top of his game climbed a 60 foot tower and then jumped to his death.
Meh, just wanted to post the video. *sniff*

Yeah, and they need i think 5 blocks of space above them. Leaves don't matter. I placed a torch next to every sapling as it seemed to make them grow faster, and was fun to collect once they'd grown. Died a few times falling from the higher parts Also, getting a small tree or a large tree is random, so sometimes i'd chop down the trees if they were small and hope next time a decent one grew.

I only now had the idea of placing blocks of soil on top of tree-trunks to plant new trees on top of them.
Massive treehouse, here I come.
Making a treehouse is actually a lot of fun. Having to wait for the trees to grow gives the whole process a different pace. Here's mine that i posted a while back. I burnt it down last night (after taking a backup!) which was quite a sight.

But how do I switch between them?
They don't respond to keys? I have to go into the inventory to change them whilst a monster is chewing my ass off.
... they should respond to keys. Either use the mousewheel or 1-9 works.

it's currently 9.95 euros. When beta hits it will be roughly 15, and final price will be 20.
I like the crafting system as it is, where you have to basically draw the item. Just clicking on a recipe and it make it would not be as much fun, at least for me. That said it definitely needs a way to teach you the recipes and i do like his idea of a tech tree kind of deal.

Player / Games / Re: Sales of one man indie game hit, Minecraft, have surpassed $250,000 per day.

They also posted about it on their blog. If I remember correctly, that bumped it up to 1000 sales per day. After that, Bethesda posted about it and bumped it up to 2000 sales, then some popular youtube channel started posting videos and bumped it up to 4-5k up until the free weekend.
I would speculate that the free weekend generated massive exposure and addiction so that when the servers went back up, there were 25000 people waiting to buy.
And then penny arcade did two comics on it, and rock paper shotgun did a lets play kind of series of articles and a few days later the servers got hit so hard they were down for days causing the free weekend. Each time he gets exposure on some big site the increase in sales seems to rise, i guess because each time it has been on increasingly popular/visited sites.
