Awesome! I have been following this project and wondered why it failed since it looked so good.

I am doing my own campaign and am having troubles too, what did you do differently from the first campaign in terms of reaching your audience?.

Hi!, I'm here to announce my new project, "Venture Tales", a business simulator sandbox game that is based on how the world of business works in real life.

I'm going to start my Indiegogo campaign to get funding for it today, in a few hours, and I'll post the link here when it starts, please follow us if interested!.

Check some screenshots in our Steam Greenlight concepts page: http://bit.ly/1ggzSJp

Here are a few things you can do in it:

   1. You'll be playing a game of life, where you have your own in-game character, living with his family, you need to manage your time, and organize your life, your stress levels, your education, and your effectiveness in your business with the help of your in-game schedule and calendar.

   2. You can contact people, consultants, services, distributors, marketing, partners, negotiate and makes deals with them to work together.

   3. Evaluate and choose employees, and assign them to whatever job you choose in your company. Create the company hierarchy.

   4. Create and manage all the inner workings of your business from the inside out using an innovative visual representation that shows all the processes and activities in your business at the same time.

   5. You will be able to analize maps that shows different data of the context of where you live and relating to how your businesses influence society.

   6. Manage different variables of your business, money, times of processes, quality of production or service, client satisfaction, etc.

   7. Get financing, create business plans, get help from incubators, accelerators, investors, get loans from banks or other mediums, etc.

   8. React to events and news that affect the world and your business.

   9. And much more...

You may know me from flash games such as “Zombie Home Run” http://bit.ly/18Z9GOt and “TwitchPack” http://bit.ly/19LFUhd, and also an old downloadable game called “Happier than you”. I'm a programmer, graphic designer, illustrator, game designer and coach.

That's so wrong, I don't wash my head because I don't have time? pffft... I have lots of time, I don't wash it because I'm too lazy to do it  Ninja Who, Me? that's normal, right?.

I always thought this game was just another platformer and could not understand the hype around it... until my brother bought it and saw him play. It is a very simple game, but it really has the ability to make me laugh, surprise me, scare me, it's quite nice.

Not true. In Minecraft you can chop down a tree trunk but the leaves remain suspended in the air. You can even walk around on them.

It's funny because its true   Grin

Game development is like a tree. You take away the branches, it never grows, you take the trunk, and you have no tree, you take out the roots it dies, it needs water, sun and air to survive, no part is superior to any others, it needs all to grow and serve its purpose effectively.

15  Player / General / Re: Gaming: why do you do it? on: July 23, 2011, 06:33:52 AM
Sometimes I ask myself: "why am I playing this? I am not having fun...", then I think maybe it's because I want to learn something from the game, mechanics, story, something game design wise.
Some other games are geniunelly fun, almost any game is more fun in coop mode, just fun.

Oh and I also play to relax and rest my mind after a day full of study/work. Sometimes I'm too tired to play though.

Maybe the art is a bit inconsistent, but it's still an awesome game.
The thing I don't like about the graphics is the animation, the main character clothes (the character design has personality, so its good), and the camera angle, but the rest of it, pixel art, monster design, tiles, etc, is really good and enjoyable, the game should not be ignored or hated because of those few weak points.

Never heard of this, what do you mean?.

If you want to see something creepy, watch this, basically it's a doll doing weird creepypasta things, made by someone called Shaye Saint John:

I really like this game, how it plays, the sense of humour, the randomness, pretty cool. I tried playing roguelikes before but I didnt like them, I love this one though.
