Question 3c: What happened to the whole opera house thing? Yeah, my one complaint with the show is that they seem to have abandoned the whole Hera subplot, especially since she is not the only Cylon child now. They just made Cylon/human offspring seem like such a big deal early on, and now they hardly ever touch on that.

As far as I know Apple doesn't support anything like this. A quick google didn't turn up much either. This is probably something that Apple doesn't support with the App Store. If all you are doing is selling access to a website then there are many ways to make users pay to access sites. What exactly is your app? Is it even an app or just a website?

Thanks for all the replies and enthusiasm! Right now the source file is on my laptop, which is missing its AC power adapter, so I am not going to be working on this until that gets here in about a week. I will, however, take this time to flesh out exactly what I want to do with it. Based on all of your feedback, here are a list of changes that will happen.
- Shooting will be automatic, but significantly slower. - Player bullets will do less damage than turret bullets, right now they do the same. - Zombies will be able to destroy turrets, and some will focus on killing turrets rather than attacking the player. - Walls will be much stronger. - Pacing will be completely revamped. I haven't played L4D, but I did look into it, and the slow trickle + insane rushes seems like it might be fun. This, coupled with turrets getting destroyed should fix the difficulty curve dropping like it does. - Object selection bug with 1 and 2 keys will be fixed.
I think once I change those things, the difficulty curve will be pretty fixed. That is really the main issue I think the game has right now, and once these things are done, I can get to adding new enemies and ways to kill them. Any suggestions on what kinds of enemies/weapons I should include? I would really like to have some neat enemies, as the whole "mindlessly chase after the player" is a bit lame.
Again, thanks for all the feedback. Having other people play it gives so much more insight.

I third NSIS. It can be a bit daunting, but NIS Edit makes it pretty easy.
Clickteam's software is generally easiest, but there are a lot of things that it can't do. It sacrifices functionality for simplicity.

I was in Grant Park in Chicago on the night of the election, and that seemed a lot more momentous than this. I know now it's official and everything, but I'm about tired of hearing about how it's great and all that Obama is President, and ready for him to start changing things.

The second obvious question would be, "what" is Starbuck? I've heard some really interesting ideas already and the more I mull them over, the more validity they seem to gain. I'd like to hear other theories though. I think Starbuck is probably a human. My theory is that the wormhole thing she went into probably did some crazy alternate universe stuff so that the version of her that exists now never really went to earth, but retains memories of her other self going there, somehow (if that makes sense at all). Baltar, on the other hand, is completely a mystery. They really do a great job of confusing the hell out of you with him. The Six in his head has given him way too much information for him just to be crazy, but I guess that's still a possibility.

Yeah, best season finale evar. A lot of people give the whole Bob Dylan thing shit, but I think it's awesome. If you like that you should watch the finale to the first season of the Terminator show, as I said before, it's done by him and almost as good.

I stopped watching in early season 3 Tongue I kinda miss television. Television is dead. You can watch anything online now thanks to magical flash technology. BTW Get off my lawn!

Close enough, same episode. It's "Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, chief. We're evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that."
When it comes to being a badass, Chuck Norris takes advice from Saul Tigh.

Yeah, Bear McCreary, the music guy, is amazing. He also does the music for the Terminator series (Which has kinda gone downhill). I, myself, am a sucker for Saul Tigh. He's one of my favorite fictional characters. I'm actually making a game that opens with a Saul Tigh quote...points if you can guess which one

I still don't even know wtf to say about the last episode. I'm glad you made this thread, because I was thinking about making one myself.

Catan and Carcassone are both excellent if you are into that type of thing. I never want to invest in the efoort of playing the board game versions, so they are great. Lost Cities is good too.

http://www.costik.com/weblog/2007/02/economics-of-selling-games-online.htmlThis is about a year old, but details a lot of what goes on with online publishers. Lots of numbers there. Of course, costik also has an agenda to promote Manifesto Games, so take that with a grain of salt. One thing he doesn't mention, though, are the game club discounts most major casual portals also offer, which can end up meaning that a customer only pays about $7 for a $20 game. Bottom line...If you want to do anything other than self-publish, be prepared to give a large amount of money away in exchange.

One of the most popular is ZDoom. It supports super lotsa cool stuff I second ZDoom. I honestly wasn't a big Doom fan until I played Doom multiplayer.
