Looks interesting. Although the last Sonic game that was ever "right" was Sonic and Knuckles.

Playing this at the moment, I'm very impressed. Does Mr. Silverman know about this project?

Very very polished game, even at this early stage. I was constantly reminded of my gameboy for some reason! Perhaps cutting the amount of levels needed to complete a world would be a good idea. The shiny thing on world 1 level 10 was nearly invisible on my screen! Ill look forward to the finished version.

I downloaded the finished version, well done!
66  Developer / Playtesting / Re: Joe Snow - Closed Beta on: June 07, 2011, 09:29:17 AM
Looks interesting. Would you not consider just having an open beta? Seems like allot of leg work to test this game out...

Downloaded the latest version. The work that has been done on the collision with the platforms makes the whole experience much better. The puzzles with the pigs are very imaginative. Lo-Fi, keep working on this.

If the collision was working properly and a few of the animations cleaned up, this would be very very awesome. A bit more work on this and I think it will be really good. I like the sound, its perfect.
69  Player / Games / Re: The Death of Flight Simulation. on: May 31, 2011, 02:25:41 PM
Yeah I played and liked Venus Patrol. The only real barrier for me with Flight Sims is the controls. They were totally associated with PC's back in the day and you have visions of binding lots of keys to different functions, just not user friendly! Physics, damage, landing ect ect are no problem, its just the controls that held me back...

I never played a flight sim, there just so inaccessible. I wonder how they could be made more user friendly, maybe then they would take off again... (awful pun intended  Smiley )

I enjoyed it thanks. Very well polished.
73  Player / General / Re: Support for Platforms on: May 21, 2011, 02:21:16 AM
Hmmm, yes I think seeing as I'm using SDL it would make sense to support the three major platforms. I like the idea of Linux on a pen drive, ill probably do that. As far as Mac is concerned, I guess ill have to start saving or perhaps I can get myself a second hand one.

Cheers for the responses.

Looks interesting. The sky texture was very nice.

I ended up stuck here from the puzzle that's just above it...

(this is the latest build I'm playing)

Ha! Nice graphics.. Funny little idea, I actually had something similar in mind a few years back. Well when are we going to get to play it?
78  Player / General / Support for Platforms on: May 20, 2011, 09:11:31 AM
Hi All,

Something that I often think about is the importance of supporting Linux and Mac. I exclusively develop on Windows (purely because I cant afford a Mac yet!) I guess it would be easy enough for me to put a Linux partition on my system and thus release for that platform aswell. Ideally I would like to support as many systems as possible. In your experience, how important are the other platforms. Say for arguments sake you get 100 downloads on Windows, how many would you get for Mac and Linux?

Cheers,

Kid.
