Community / Townhall / Introducing SDNIA.com - a new news site, with less BS
|

Hello fellow gamedevs, Glad to see TigSource still running strong. Some of you may remember me from days of old and the time of long long ago. Recently I launched a new "Nerd centered" news site. The website of course being SDNIA.com . I'm currently beginning the Indie Games section of the site. I'm currently growing a fanbase for the honest opinions and lack of pop up ads. Please give the site a visit and if you will like feel free to submit your games to be previewed, discussed and/or reviewed to [email protected] . About PageStandards and PracticesThank you once again for the chance to talk to my fellow Game Developers. Sincerely, Nathan Hurde SDNIA Editor

About Me:Hello, My name is Natan Hurde. I have been started my adventure in the world of GameDev via Game Maker 6.x and stuck around through GMS1. I later learned JavaScript, C++, PHP and CSS. I have completed a few game jam games before, as well as build and create my own game engine using C++. That engine is called "Game Pencil Engine" and is available for free and is open source for multiple platforms. The reason for this post is I need to acquire funds to help pay for my bills as I further enhance the game engine. I am free to your projects. Compared to others, my rates are negotiable from $25.00 an hour. My Skills:- Engines: Game Maker, Construct, Godot, Game Pencil
- Languages: GDScript, GML, C++, JS, PHP, SQL
Portfolio: Theme Editor for Game Pencil Engine Editor A screenshot of Command Throne aka Underground Space Wars. The project is currently on hiatus. https://gamejolt.com/games/command-throne/23710Contact Info:If you are interested in having me work for you please email me at nathan at__ nathanhurde[DOT]com, PM me here, or on discord (@theweirdnate 6818), or simply reply here. Please note, do I do not sign NDAs or Do-not-Complete clauses since I'm still creating the Game Pencil Engine.

Well thanks for asking. My page is http://pawbyte.itch.io. Currently just got the cross-platform open source game engine on there. But expect more soon. LOL, current state of runtime is HTML5 based. There is a 2nd run-time coming quite soon for people who just want to use C/C++. Javascript engine?! Bless your soul, my friend.

Hello guys,
I think it will be best for those interested to have skype. This way we can have an easier and quicker communication stream among people interested.
The game should either be made via C/C++, Java or Unity3D.
It should also have Linux support.

Hey guys thank you. The args part was what I was looking for. This is pretty interesting, since for some reason, loading in files took in the directory of the file being read. That shouldn't be too hard to solve. Thank you guys for all of the lovely support.
