By now I feel sorry for these guys.
I kinda feel sorry for them too. Especially since they had been working on the game for over ten years. But I feel even worse for the publishers of this. They are going to be in a ton of shit. And it's not even their fault.

Oh my... I think I know what this is about. So cool. I totally have this in my calendar. I got a big vibe of confusing Finland with Sweden. Nah, that can't be. Nobody could ever possibly confuses Finland and Sweden. Nobody...

Thanks jens for posting only the pictures from the first part of the night... We came up with this master plan for next years nordic game conference to make the whole thing more interesting for everyone. We're going to pitch a (real) indie panel to the conference guys and hopefully get free passes for all the indies talking in the panel That way we can organize our own nordic Independent Games Summit.

The hangover is starting to creep in...
I'm in Sweden and I'm listening to a panel titled: "Independence Day: Can developers go it alone?". And who are the guys talking... It could be cactus, nifflas, joakim... But instead there's one guy who sold a mobile company and got 15 million dollars, one guy who's firm has 800 employees and one guy whose game has a budget of 25 million dollars.

After seeing that clip I decided to cancel my reservation at the hotel... Jeb: What's name of place you're dragging us into? I mean if there are indies here, who can't make it to the Gustav Adolf's Torg at 18:00 they could join us later. Anyways looking forward to meeting all of you tomorrow.

Thanks a lot guys for the feedback.
The coolest thing about the game is process of evolution. It's fun to see were the game goes. I hope it turns out to be somewhat playable.
I'll try to improve the game a bit during the competition. I came up with couple of ideas that could help the evolution... I have to try those out.

Is tomorrow (Wednesday) 18:00-> okay with everyone? I know that there's the Delegate Dinner and Nordic Game Awards going on at the conference, but nobody wants to see that...
jeb: Since you're a local, can you suggest a place where we can meet?
At 21:00 onwards there's the Nordic Game party going on somewhere. We could try to sneak in there. (giving out passes through toilet window and stuff)

Hey Petri, where will you be staying? We're not actually going to the event (too expensive), but I live in Malmö and thewreck in Lund, so it would be a shame if we missed this opportunity! We should take you down to "möllan" in Malmö and have a beer or five.
I'm staying at the only free hotel that I could find in Malmö: First Hotel Jörgen Kock. The whole travel thing is quite expensive... I'm just lucky that I got a free pass.

Kinten, cool I'm looking forward to drinking beer with the oxeye-gang in homemade togas! And with the penumbra guys as well! I think the Wednesday night might be the best for beer drinking.

Here's my submission to the competition. It's basically just a standard vertical SHMUP (implemented using JavaScript), in which all the game data is generated at "random". Follow this link to play the game. Randomly is in quotes because the game uses very Darwinistic way of generating the data. Every time you play a game, the game keeps track of how long you played that particular game. And the way that a game is generated is by selecting few of the more popular games and mashing them (randomly) together. Hopefully this process will create a game that is even more interesting and thus will be played even longer. The plan is to create the ultimate game, that is so addicting that once people stumble upon it they can’t quit playing it. And then the game will evolve consciousness and it will start taking over the world by itself. And thus Skynet was born…
