The results of Gamejolt's Indies Vs PewDiePie Game Jam were announced recently.

There are 779 entries in this contest. Participants could use any programming language or game making software to make their games. Among the top ten games, I notice the tools used to make them:

1st place: Unity
2nd place: GameMaker Studio
3rd place: Unity
4th place: GameMaker Studio
5th place: Unity
6th place: GameMaker Studio
7th place: Unity
8th place: Unity
9th place: Stencyl
10th place: Unity

These games can be downloaded or played:

Unity and GameMaker Studio should be two very popular tools in the indie world...Sure!

imho these numbers doesn't represent the indie world. Maybe if it was Ludum Dare it could represent, but even then it would only be what indies prefer to use on jams, not on day-to-day projects.

Hi,

Perhaps you are right.
