Stencyl is as easy as Game Maker. It's probably easier than Game Maker,
Stencylworks is very good if it is as easy as GameMaker. I am interested in this game making software now. I really want to learn and use this powerful game making program! Stencyl comes with an integrate tutorial that will guide you to make a simple game. It's much easier to learn than other engines for me because of this. It takes only 10 - 30 min, so you should try it out before deciding whether you want to invest further into the engine.
ok...thanks. I have downloaded and installed this software.

I dont really know all that much about these programs sorry, I've never used them myself, but from what I can gather Stencylworks is an extension of Scratch with more features and ready made functionalities built in. Therefore I'd hazard a geuss that if you can use one you should be able to easily transfer those skills to the other. From the Stencylworks website: Our drag-and-drop gameplay designer builds off the wildly successful MIT Scratch project. We extend Scratch's simple block-snapping interface with new functionality and hundreds of ready-to-use blocks. Power users can create their own blocks to use and share with others.
Hi, the drag-and-drop gameplay designer of Stencylworks is based on Scratch, thanks for your information!

Hello, I have some questions about the softwares. I notice that the interfaces of these two softwares are similar. Is there any relationship between these two softwares? It means that a Scratch user can easily learn Stencylworks? Stencylworks: Scratch: Is Stencylworks an easy game making program to learn and to make game(non-Scratch user)? Is it as easy as GameMaker or Construct? GameMaker has GML. Any scripting language is in Stencylworks? Is Stencylworks powerful enough to make professional quality flash game? Thanks!

Huh? I'm curious what makes this easier/more attractive to you than say gml?
Hi, I think that the language NaaLaa is as easy as GML. (not easier than) GameMaker is a good tool and GML is easy. However, GML's codes are in code actions in different events of different objects in a game. Some people(like me) want to learn how to write game programs in real programming languages(only use codes). Learning the source codes of some NaaLaa's complete games is quite suitable for beginners as NaaLaa is an easy langauge.

I tried to make Tic Tac Toe with AI in Construct but the lack of scripting killed it (aside from the terrible organization system of events and other UI issues)
Construct 2 really needs a powerful scripting langauge! (like GameMaker Language of GM) Wait, is GML even Turing complete? After reading the article about the meaning of Turing complete, I still don't fully understand what Turing complete is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turing_completenessHowever, I think that GML is Turing complete.

Construct 2 really needs a powerful scripting langauge! (like GameMaker Language of GM) If Construct 2 has a complete scripting langauge, many schools and colleges will use Conctruct 2 to teach programming in different countries. Contruct 2 will be much more popular! It will not only be a game creation software but also a good teaching tool. In addition, many GM users don't like Construct 2(and Construct Classic) because of lack of scripting language. If Construct 2 will have a powerful scripting language, many GM users will try, learn and use Construct 2.

- We also believe our engine will outperform all others, we are hopefully going to be doing benchmarks soon to prove this as soon as we can
I am looking foward to the benchmarks. On the other hand, games made with Construct Classic and Contruct 2 do not have the screen tearing problem. Construct games look more professional!! I like that the staff of Construct come here to discuss and tell us the future developemnt of Construct!

Maybe the release prices of Construct 2 are more reasonable than the price of GameMaker HTML5. http://www.scirra.com/construct2/early-adopterThere are three versions of Construct 2: 1. Free Edition 2. Standard Edition (USD65) 3. Business Edition (USD255) --Most people will need the standard edition. You only need the Business edition if you are an individual who has made over $5,000 USD revenue from things made with Construct 2, or are using Construct 2 in a for-profit organisation. That's the estimated price, currently the with the early adopter prices the standard edition is $32 and the business edition is $169. They will not sell too many copies of the current HTML5 version because there is no way to make money with HTML5 game. Scirra should make and release other exporters as soon as possible, IOS, Android and SWF! I think that these exporters will help Scirra to make a lot of money.
