I am having studying Game Maker Language and still want to make games right away and that desire took me to Scirra Construct, have any of you used it and published games made in it? I guess the best Construct made indie game was The Iconoclast
Hello, I think that GameMaker is better. It is because many GameMaker books are available! http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=539399Moreover, the user base of GameMaker is bigger.

Developer / Technical / Re: Stencyl 3.0.!!! Will support more platforms than GameMaker Studio.

Stencyl looks interesting, but only if you are creating something simple. The scripting language look cumbersome. Also, I have to pimp Monkey ( http://monkeycoder.co.nz) since it supports more platforms than GameMaker Studio as well. No graphic editor, though, but it is a great coding language. Hi, Monkey is good if the person is good at programming. People who are not good at programming want to use game creation softwares to make games. For example, GameMaker, Stencyl, GameSalad, etc.

Developer / Technical / Re: Coding without curly brackets

Isn't that much nicer? Maybe you don't think so, but I've been programming in a language like this for almost a year, and I've come to love it.
Hi, All BASIC dialects don't use curly brackets. It is easy to learn BASIC dialects since BASIC dialects' syntaxes look like English grammer. Several modern BASIC dialects are very powerful: PureBasic, GLBasic, PowerBasic, BlitzMax, ThinBasic, Nuclear Basic, DarkBasic Pro, IWBasic, PlayBasic..!!!!! BASIC family is quite big..
