I saw a crazy japanese game called "Muscle March"
I wonder if people will buy this kind of games? Will game developers feel risky for making crazy game like this and not afraid of their company image being tarnished? What's your opinion?

I love the graphics style, could u record the process of creating the character sprite?
ahhhh we are almost finish all the sprites but we didn't think about that. Basically it's all drawn using brush tool (with tablet) in Photoshop. Yes, frame by frame. Anyway, we are doing a trailer right now and will put it on RocketHub and call for pre-purchase so that we can push out a (even) better quality before release. Any idea how to get those indie game-related blogs and websites to mention about us? Never had done that before.

Player / General / Re: Indie as a doorway to AAA

I am currently working in a AAA game (outsource) company who did art assets for Super Sonic Racing and Brink. They don't give a damn to certificate, only look at the portfolio. If you have a successful indie game under your belt, they will hire you. Big company like EA *might* probably be the same because quite a few top people here in my company are former EA leads. They probably using similar standards. But somehow you gotta polish your game before showing them. Just some tips here.

With salary of USD$800 per month as game programmer (well, I'm living in Asia), I am still struggling to save my first buffer enough to go full indie. Currently only saved around less than USD$2000 lol how long you think I could save up to something like Jonathan Blow did? But luckily my team mate is doing the game fulltime (he teaches concept art at a nearby college, 1 class per week) and hopefully our game can be released in few more months from now so I'll see how it go. Feel kinda guilty for not able to full-force with him in the development.

Developer / Design / Re: Starting indie development: what about programming?

I kind of agree with st33d. I myself was from art background and I've been studying programming all by myself and it took me years to understand how it work. I took art subjects in college too and continued to study programming by reading books (even threw the book few metres away when got stressed up) and search on internet. Few years later I'm now working in a game company as a programmer (I don't even have any certificate in computer-related subjects) and creating my own indie game during spare time.
All you need to do is stop complaining and start learning. It's never too late to start.

I always talk crap and joke around with friends about anything and sometimes it just hit the jackpot. (everyone silents and looks at each other) "hey, why don't we make this into a game"

by the way who is Peta?
PETA is an animal rights charity/organization that ends up killing more animals than they save. Kicking is too gentle for them. Should throw them into a cage full of tigers

Another new character! He was a kung fu student in Shaolin when a small kid, but he returned home and became fat after several years. Too much junk foods and TV. By the way I will set up a development blog very soon.

Looks really cool and fun to play. can't wait to see it in action! Will there be options to kick high, kick mid, kick low? just to spice up the challenge? Thanks. I am not very sure but not likely will have high, mid, low options due to the size of the character quite similar to the objects size. Instead of putting the character at the side, we decided to put her in the middle. Objects are now not just coming from one side but both! This should spice up the challenge a bit. Agree Thanks, astrofa. I will choose the upside down option then. Love the graphics. What language are you coding in? Thanks. My teammate is a great artist and he did a great job on the graphics. I am using C++ language for this game. I use the C++ port of cocos2d library called cocos2d-x with Box2D. The reason why I choose C++ is for multiplatform purpose and also... I don't really like Objective-C's coding style. More coming.
