Awesome man, but I think he needs a stool.

Not bad at all. I especially like the little thumbnail sketches of the faction types. Very cool.

Dude, I was about to say this is someone else's idea. Then I realized who you are. TAVERN GAME!!! EPIC!

Haha, yeah it's just me. Nice to see you around here. You know I'm going to hit you up for some art and animations when I get a little bit farther with this.

The boss battleship looks dope. Is the video screen going to have animated expressions or just change stills to represent the damage?

WIP logo for a game idea I have. It's at 200% actual resolution.
Critiques welcome.

I agree with the previous posts about music and better start location identification.

And even though your description says "Bosses display health" I had forgotten about there being bosses in the game by the time I reached the first one. It was a pleasant surprise.

I watched the video and didn't think the game seemed very interesting but decided to download it anyway. It is better than I had thought and was borderline addictive.

I don't know if the scenery varies any more later in the game, but a color shift or environment change the farther you get would be a cool addition.

The new tutorial cleared up a few things I was too lazy to figure out for myself. It's a neat little game you have there.

Yeah, from what I can tell its a neat start for a concept but it's a little hard to tell what is going on.

I'm assuming you are just a guy running around conquering different cities/castles that get stronger as the game progresses, but I have no idea what the black and blue orbs do. I also never got an extra guy running around like in your screenshots.

I guess its not that bad for a little over a weeks work though.

Are you going to do anything else with it or just call it finished?

I have to agree with Fredrik, a little variety in the enemies would go a long way. Some different gun types or other power-ups like he mentioned would be great too.

Hello everyone. I've been lurking on and off for about a year or so after a friend referred me to tigsource. I figured it was about time for me to register so I can start giving feedback on some of your projects and just chat about games in general. Hopefully soon I'll have a project of my own to share with you all.

I'm 28 years old and currently work full-time in web development, mostly using PHP and JavaScript with a little bit of AS3 every once in awhile. I started programming my own simple game experiments about 2 or 3 years ago as a hobby. Lately I've been using more Java and AS3 for games but I have also used C# and C++ briefly in the past.

I also have a (worthless) associates degree in computer imaging and animation. Your basic community/technical college 3D animation courses. I have been doing 3D modeling/texturing for about a decade now though it turned more into a hobby and less a means of employment shortly after school.

Anyway, it seems tigsource has a great indie gaming community. I hope to see you around.
