41  Jobs / Offering Paid Work / Looking for Professional Logo Design [FOUND] on: July 19, 2010, 08:11:43 AM
Hey everyone! When it comes to corporate identity, I'm all like Hand Money Left WTF Hand Money Right

Willing to pay a flat fee for professional logo design. I have a company name and some reference photos, but I need them "cartooned" (technical items need to be simplified and clarified, etc). Fully willing to allow artistic licence and take things in an all new direction if a thought occurs.

Need it done in Vector Art (Adobe Illustrator or Flash is preferred, just for my own file conversion nightmare quelling)

Company name is "Radial Games".

Two reference photos I have, just to give you a scope of the problem:

I'd prefer an EMail response if you could: [email protected], but forum replies also work in a pinch.

The TIGVan has officially returned to Victoria, BC! The tour is over!

TIGVan 2 will be heading to the UK to buy office chairs

But for seriously, thanks to all that put us up, gave us showers, entertained us, met with us, and all that jazz. The blog is slowly being updated! Wheeee
44  Developer / Business / Re: Are portals ok with Flash Player 10 games? on: July 13, 2010, 12:11:05 PM
Flash 10 penetration is indeed very high, and amongst portal-game-players it's even higher than that. It's not a problem at all; all of my games were FP10 since the day it became available, and have had not a single problem.

Well, we saw Alec and Chrissy's beautiful family and friendly lake cabin. Good times! We're in the middle of Saskatchewan now, moving West. We'll be back in Victoria in about 2 weeks (July 15th is our goal), so if anyone is on the way let me know!

Also, it just hit me: We have no showers lined up for the entirety of these two weeks.  Cry

Oh fuuuuuck! We still want you! Email Alec (we might be heading to the lake in a few days, which could be PERFECT TIMING FOR A VISIT)

oh man a lake would be so welcome right now. No A/C in the van and we're driving into the sweltering heat of the prairies...

We're probably going to be rolling into town tomorrow (Tuesday) night and staying with another friend of mine, but I'll definitely hit up alec and see what we can organize!

They actually closed down the big highway's onramps downtown, so we drove straight through the middle of town on a nearly empty highway. Didn't see any crowds, protesters, or burning cars so it was a successful trip!

Just finishing up here in Iowa with the intuitiongames dudes  Beer!

Heading back up to winnepeg now! be there in a few days!

Awesome time in downtown Ottawa last night, guys. Bit hung over this morning, but it's all good. Smiley

Any Torontites out there? Will probably be there in 2 days or so.

Nice you're almost back around Ottawa. I'll who is available around the time you'll be here, should be able to get a decent crew together for your arrival!  Coffee

Woot! I am rolling into Ottawa tomorrow morning, so I'm right on schedule. Let me know if anything is up!

(sorry about running through Quebec like that. I was delayed by a conference and I needed to make up time somewhere!)

The blog is lagging behind a bit now. :/ hard to find internets to upload these pictures! 0.1mb/s? how about screw you!

Will be in St. John, NB tomorrow most probably. Wheeeee, big tides!

what why did montreal happen instantly

Instantly? It got the standard 24 hr notice! I usually decide where to go when I get behind the Wheel each day. Preplanning sucks!

I'd hate to promise to be somewhere then have to drive by a bigass waterfall or amusement park or something...

56  Community / Jams & Events / Re: TIGVan: CANADA 2010 on: May 28, 2010, 04:39:56 AM
I don't know why, but after meeting a half dozen Montreal Indies last night, going to two pubs, and getting some "Le poutine de classique et origionale", I'm not feeling the best this morning. Trying to overcome the urge to sleep all day (in the van) and actually get something done. This calls for drastic measures.. this calls for: coffee.  Coffee

Really awesome meeting all you guys, Montreal definitely WAY BETTER than EDMONTON so far! *shakes fists* Even though none of you could tell me how to translate "Boners" into french.

Phil Fish and I are trying to organize our schedules and get together for lunch, then it's off to Quebec City! Anyone out there? We might make it there today but maybe not. I might not get a chance to read the forum before then so as usual, if you exist, [email protected] or PM me here.

Critical TIGVan upgrades complete; still need to get the brakes looked at but brakes are for WUSSIES

I'm actually in Ottowa now, but we've been in Ontario too long and we are behind schedule! Don't worry though, we still have unvisited family and return travel plans for Ottowa and Toronto, maybe a few weeks from now? Sorry about that Sad GOTTA KEEP ROLLIN'

We are moving on to MONTREAL shortly! Maybe even LATER TODAY??? Anyone in Montreal up for some last minute visits?! EMail me! [email protected]

I'm in Sudbury now, trying to organize a trip to Manatoulin island, and will be heading to the bigger cities down there soon. Maybe in Toronto as soon as Wednesday? I'll update as things get a clearer picture.

The Van is getting some repairs!

We had two local sampler packs (Fort Garry and Half Pint), one of which included an IPA, yes. Smiley

Super awesome thanks to Alec and Nava for their hospitality and showing us the "seedy side" of town. Also, golden boy! wooooo. I like how he's "running towards prosperity" (north).

We're leaving Winnipeg tomorrow, and heading out through the northeast highway out of Manitoba (not the #1 but the other one just north of it). We miiight just hit Thunder Bay tomorrow if we're lucky! You Ontarians better PREPARE. The waves of my arrival might flood Ottowa.

Also: Manitoba is #1 suckiest province ever when it comes to tourism. Everything is closed for the season/day/time we arrive, and half the "attractions" have shiny new highway signs but have been actually visited so infrequently that the info signs are sunbleached pure white and the attractions themselves are so overgrown with bush you can't actually see them.

Also, I've been seeing a lot of wildlife on this trip, for the first time. I saw my first mountain goats in the rockies, the first bison in Alberta, my first Elk in Saskatchewan, and for the first time ever, I've seen ticks in Manitoba. Thanks, Manitoba. I'll never forget the veritable herd of a half-dozen ticks marching up my bare, shorts-wearing leg, towards my nether regions.

Thanks for the offer nava! We will probably take you up on that on Sunday. We should get in touch via email.

But yes, we are taking just about every detour there is.... and avoiding all major highways. Google maps says the whole country can be done in two days.. but that's not very fun, and we have nearly 3 months. Smiley
