Looks great, but I was a bit disappointed by not actually seeing the layers parallaxing in the video...
I could show them in motion, but since it's really Chevy's game, I don't want to steal his thunder...so it's going to have to be up to him, I suppose.  Also holy hell the main character is so small compared to the background. Am I going to have to squint to play this game?  That's the thing. She's not. Those backgrounds are REALLY far back in space with a bazillion trees inbetween. I'm just showing you how I set up for painting assets and how all that stuff looks together.

Two bit as in cheap, worthless, etc.
Or like...whores.  I think I came up with it when I thought of Christopher Lloyd singing "shave and a haircut" in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I love how the guy repeats it twice, vote for the last one!
I was showing how the type looked in all caps and in regular, lol. I made all of these in like 5 minutes so there! The 4th one is my favorite because no one likes it. That's how I roll, biz-natches.

Had a bit of time to work on this at the end of the last week, so progress is eking forward. Also here is a WIP screengrab of a big bomb pickup being triggered!    THE COMPLEMENTARY COLORS and the...pretties and the shinies! WANT!

I've seen more to-do lists mentioned so far than I've ever seen metioned in an indie game  <--- Chevy I said this to a fella on Twitter yesterday: "I think every time Chevy and I brainstorm we add 3 months < to the production schedule>...Should be called the "OOOOOWhatifIdidthis?" factor." I wish I coulda heard everyone watching the game and the follow up convo last night (they were on the other side of the room from the livestream - NYUUURRGHHH!). I had stayed up hoping to listen in on feedback or suggestions - or even to hear Chevy talk real-time about his thoughts so I had them more in context than an email.
