Jobs / Portfolios / See Beau draw - Draw Beau draw!
|
on: May 18, 2010, 11:32:27 PM

Cheers! My name is Beau Blyth, and when I'm not playing ping-pong, frisbee, or doing my own indie thing, I am drawing. However, I have noticed that my pocketbook has been getting thinner and thinner! So it seems the time has come to offer my services to the freelance world. I am free to do drawing, design, sprite work, animation, and textures. Most recently I have been conceptualizing characters http://teknopants.com/art2010/bunchodetails.pnghttp://teknopants.com/art2010/abunchofsilhouettes.pngHere is a recent animation demo http://teknopants.com/bbreel.swfYou can check out my daily* art blog here http://picothedayo.blogspot.com/And my website http://teknopants.com/

Developer / Playtesting / Anamaton 4 Player Hotseat Action

A product of around 2 years or so of dabbling work- Anamaton is finally at a state of "Good Enough" completion. The only known errors are those which come up when playing alone, and some tiny award errors, but nothing that will destroy an enjoyable skirmish. The controls take a little getting used to, but included is a tiny handy PDF manual. I would recommend playing with a joystick. And friends... The Level "1337 arena" is there so those who are lonely can battle with some ai. Download it HerePixrl Prospector Page

Reminds me of that one mickey mouse game for the genesis, there was this one puzzle where you had to mix potions, any inspirations?

I enjoyed it at first but the difficulty didn't seem to ramp up too fast. Pretty fun though!

That sounds awesome. That game mode, the sniper rifle, and so such ideas would be really awesome in Sim War 6 (it'll be called something else surely)
The reason I'm not adding any of this stuff to Sim War 5 is because it was base programmed by myself two years ago, and myself two years ago was not very good at this.
But I make battle sims all the time, so I can only get better at this.

New version doesn't work for me. Double click exe file, nothing happens. Go to task manager, shows up under processes, but not under applications. Sad... Maybe 'cause I'm on Windows 7? But then how come the old version worked for me? My mistake, forgot to vista-tize it...

I did some stuff.-Main character now always has player indicating shadow below him. -Spazzy machine gun error fix-ed -Made sensitivity slider affect keyboard controls more reasonably Thats about it. I still need to work with someone who couldn't get the game to work on their computer. It should display a more sensible error message, but I wouldn't know, because it works for me. Thank you for responding- Re-re-download, please!P.S. Please erase your save file for new versions as it will muck up with new releases.

Attention people: I have added the following -Sensitivity sliders in the option menu -Less confusing button names -Slightly more organized menus -Slightly lower walls -The game now actually saves and loads -Pressing "Enter" on world selection moves to level selection -Included the music file in the game folder I'm sorry to say that this game will still not work for those who couldn't get it working earlier, I still need to work with one of you on that problem. But uh... for those of you who were able to play the game, it is now slightly better! Re-download!@AuthenticKaizen: Holy crap. This is going on my site now.

Oh dear. Don't I feel silly. Don't tell anyone but I forgot to put the load function back into the game... I had disabled it for test playing. Well, while I am fixing this up, I would love to communicate with one of you fellows who are having trouble running the game. Feel free to contact me via e-mail: [email protected]AIM: teknograms MSN: [email protected]

Thanks for the criticism, you all have very good points. There are a few issues with fixing some of the things you brought up because when I first made this game, I used drag and drop actions, and my base code is really horrible, so developing for this game is really frustrating. But what I can fix are making the walls a bit shorter, making a mouse sensitivity button, making enter go to level select on the area select screen, making what is selected clearer, and changing some of the default options.
I'll see what I can do.

Sim War 5 Sim War 5 is a war simulator (holy crap!) that I started around 2007. It features 2 player co-op, two teams with their own special units, and a grand variety of levels. I recommend using the mouse or joysticks.

Can't say i enjoyed it much. I like space invaders because when I kill things, they die, and I feel like I'm accomplishing something. When they are simply going back and forth and respawning, I don't feel like I'm doing any damage.
