... Provided that it is an experiment ... Sometimes you want to find new stuff to watch on Youtube and you can't because they are not properly showing you good videos for you. It's like going from time to time to a place you know you are going to discover great stuff, it's like watching TV knowing that you are going to watch great stuff instead of: Katy Perry videos or your cousin preferences. ... Provided that it is an experiment ...

The bug has been fixed now. This is how it works: - First visit: Random videos
- Go surfing: Starts yielding recommended videos
The origin of it all is that I think that the Youtube recommendator is a fail. It mixes videos Youtube wants you to see (ex. popular videos) with videos they say fit you. The result is that many of them don't fit me and they usually don't yield niche videos which are perfectly suitable for me, even if they are not popular. This is just an example. The general idea is that I'm unsatisfied with the video recommendator Youtube uses and not to mention the Facebook algorithm, I think I don't use Facebook because I only see silly posts my cousin has placed (cousin, please forgive me ). In a week or so, when I've managed to get a few videos on it without the ones I'm posting and when some people have surfed it, I will ask you to use it again... Who knows, perhaps it shows true interesting videos? It is an experiment, though. And in addition to this, I can only tell you this about it; don't ask me about the secret algorithm I'm using, it's more secret than the secret ingredient of the Coca-Cola or the secret sauce of the Big-Mac. LOL!

Damn Internet Explorer! I'll have to make a special fix for it! But I'll do it... tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback anyway.
Your video has just entered the Pliski mix and only can be found by people who are interested in it ha ha ha!!!! [LOL]
When it has reached a certain threshold it is supposed to yield accurate recommendations; I'd love to find it interesting but now it has to grow a littlebit... I'm placing Google ads in addition to the forum posts and in one week or so I will be able to tell you how it is going... Thx for your cooperation!

Thanks for your comments...
I've fixed a couple of bugs now... everything should work perfectly now. It has been tested on Chrome and Firefox and the main content div is centered, so it should be undocked from the left side of the screen. What browser did u use?
I'm thinking of not starting the video when there is no cookie yet, I mean, the first time you visit, the video doesn't autoplay. What do you think about that?
Thanks everyone.

I agree, volume is too low. Doesn't happen in other compositions from you. Use a compressor filter to boost it up to the perfect volume.
On samples, I don't know what software you use so it is difficult to suggest anything.

I'I'm watching and listening almost any example that is being suggested here, and I'm liking many of them! When I first listened to a couple of dubstep songs I enjoyed them like so many time ago, almost like when I heard Daft Punk for the first time or Chemical Brothers. But right now I'm a bit tired of it, almost all songs are the same, an introduction part, a progressive part, and a strong part, and especially the strong part is very similar in most 'dubstep' songs.

The next trend undoubtly will be in one of these terms: afrodubstep, moombahtrap, trap'a'ton, glitchstep, moombahstep, bongotrap, tribalstep, afrotrap, tribalton, bongoton, and the best one: tripiton, or cryptoton. I'm already familiar with all those styles. Come to my soundcloud and add me! http://soundcloud.com/zzzaaapppLOL

Just to point out that there's a small tendence to use chiptunes over dubstep, properly speaking, some dubstep uses chiptune sounds. The other day I heard a word that describes dubstep perfectly: laser. Laser here laser there, looks like we are on Star Wars!

Hey Victor, I like them! I could start talking about specific stuff on your drawings, like if the lava shadow is so big, but I think those are just details. Overall your drawings are good. I especially like the second one, and the less one I like is the robot (too simple). But good work!

I'm a long term web-designer and I'm struggling with obtaining more visits to my website either. This is what I've learned so far: Your website it's not that bad. Graphics are good and uses different fonts. But: 1.- Blog entries and text. No one reads them. Use a bigger font to highlight the key of what youre promoting and a first plane of something, or a catchy image. 2.- Using blurred backgrounds. Although it sounds good, it can give the viewer headaches. I think it's better to avoid them. 3.- Design is good, but as the song says, too much design will kill you. Try to balance the amount of design/minimalism on your website. 4.- Colors. Many colors are good thing for children; dark colors for men or emo girls, try to find the balance. The text must be grey, if the background is whiteish dark grey, and the opposite, but be sure people can read it easily. 5.- Focus. Find something to promote and put it in front of the viewer. Don't mess around with many messages, just one will have many more views and wont scatter interest. Hope this helps.

Developer / Business / Promote your game trailer with Pliski [DEAD]

Hi all, I'd like to introduce you to a new video recommendation system. It's called Pliski.com, and its based on a secret algorithm I've created, so far it is working. It features a new method in which, unlike Youtube, you are not pushed advertising videos nor other stuff Youtube is interested in showing you. It doesn't have categories so it is even more accurate. It doesn't require any login, to guarantee that there's no information theft, all data retrieved is anonymous. It does use cookies though (but can be cleaned anytime). You can upload videos to it, just by providing a Youtube video link. Currently there are less than 100 videos submitted (mostly about videogames) so if you submit your trailer now you could have chances of being seen by videogame nerds like you and me, who are reading this post and other posts I'm writing like this one in other forums. You can also hang around for sometime and give feedback on the algorithm. Currently it has recorded sessions made just by me so if you surf through the system a bit you would be helping. http://pliski.com/Cheers! __________________ EDIT: The project has been closed now. I've changed it for a repository of funny animated gifs. Thanks for your help while it lasted.

Hey Skittle Girl! Very good music! Im listening to some of your tracks on soundcloud and the one I like best is Soul Saga Theme Music. I can feel some true Japanese influence in your compositions. Have a nice day!

I think that Dubstep is really taking over the world because nowadays most of the styles have been influenced by those beats. I just discovered a new style: Glitch hop. But when listening to a couple of songs self called glitch hop, I find another small twist on dubstep and the current sounds Skrillex is using. Examples of glitch hop (to me, pretty similar to dubstep): https://soundcloud.com/glitchhop
