i was massively overleveled for no mans wharf which is a shame because i actually rly liked it design-wise. the boss was pretty good too.

what IS it with this game an 3 hit combos tho? every boss/enemy with a weapon has a goddamn 3 hit combo.

but also sometimes they do a 4-5 hit combo that starts the same way just to fuck you over.

artorias did that in ds1, his normal combo was 3 hits, but if you tried to heal he'd throw in an extra hit to fuck you over

i had tons of trouble with him (10+ deaths) both times i played it, but ive never had to fight the gargoyles more than twice (without drake sword)

that article reminded me of why i dont like ngj-style "personal" reviews lol.

look, the exact same things that are bad about binf are present in bioshock 1 (including tacked on "exploration", fake "decisionmaking" and shallow "political commentary"), just to a lesser degree. the truth isnt that binf is awful, its that bioshock was never that good and binf makes the flaws more apparent.

yes bioshock 1 too had nothing but giant copy pasted areas filled with hundreds of dudes

pretend i wrote additional sarcastic comments for each of the other parts you skipped over

it looks like some dude who makes small games as a hobby accidentally became successful, and a bunch of whiny jealous losers are mad that it wasn't their shitty ios game instead

id rather see games / people like that be successful than the shit that's usually in the top 10.

look at the list of games on the top 10 free apps list, and explain to me why other "indie devs" would pick this guy to shit on over almost any other fucking title in this list:
