Also, I'm kind of starting to wish there was a way to turn off usernames. It feels like I'm judging people's posts by who they are- A good post from a low-level no-name is just looked over, while a high-level mediocre post is enjoyed. I gauge people by [average post quality] * [post count], which leaves high level posters who consistently make bad posts the worst off. For the record, the member two posts above this post has held the title of Worst TIGForum Poster for over a year now (the post itself not helping the situation in the least).

the main reason I buy stuff from GOG is the fact all games are pre-patched or pre-configured to work with dosbox or whatever. any game, no matter how old, you just install and play. Although for both games I got from gog, I had to find patches from other sources to get to run properly on my computer. I'm sure they do the best they reasonably can but it's no guarantee.

Did you guys know that Nausicaa was the main inspiration behind the lesser-known but fantastic (my favorite) cult-hit on the NES, Crystalis? It also inspired parts of Captain Commando

@RAMINATION: I read this article by Matt Barton a while ago, and reread it just two days ago. I don't know if I agree with your and his point, but you might enjoy it since it seems to be exactly what you're saying. In any case it's pretty interesting. (Or maybe that's where you got the idea in the first place??)

One idea: colour him like a regular robot master, but constantly cycle the palettes. Though I guess this is probably tough to do with game maker, and better suited for Chrome Man or something :P
Another Idea: Play on the sprite flicker. Compose him out of many overlaid sprites but don't display them all at once.
