Mine & Zack Parrish's collab entry:

I think the title says it all. Our collab was split between at the point of the frantic shift! ENJOY!

i jokingly mentioned making a dubstep acapella remix album of anodyne, but then there's the idea of making some remix EP of sorts. i think calum might be interested.

if anyone's interested in doing something like that lemme know and ic an give whatever you need for the songs - stubs, or the reaper files, midi data (i think i can do that), etc. songs at seagaia.bandcamp.com

Calum is definitely interested. I'd love to use some of the SFX in a remix as well if you wanna share them?

thanks swordofkings and Tristeza or ESC or antonis? I don't know why I wasn't following you on soundcloud before. I dig your bossas - I saw you also follow seiho - he's unbelievable! One of my favourites at them moment.

OK, getting a little off topic so here a super duper work in progress - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11811680/bezulbezul.wav It's kinda somewhere between animal collective and cornelius.

My last exam this semester is due tomorrow. I will probably do either Chilly Gonzales or Hiromi Uehara this weekend, haven't decided on that yet. I'm looking forward to Janelle Monae. Haven't heard of her before; just listened to "Could War" and it sounds like Rihanna on D'n'B, I kind of like it.
HIROMI YES!!!

and janelle has loads more to offer! : ) I'm excited to do the presentation.

I love tale of four spirits. Haven't had a chance to listen too much to the rest. D'you think there'll be a space where they're all collated? Jus' when I think I've found everyone who's done music for this, another amazing person pops up!
171  Developer / Audio / Re: Music Appreciation Thread (DISCUSSION) on: February 12, 2013, 07:36:22 PM
I'm gonna do one on Janelle Monae tomorrow. Anyone else?

Song is awesome, Calum!

EDIT: I really like the min version's piano sound throughout, but probably prefer the max version's more chill feel overall.

Thanks man. I'm pretty sure the piano was one of the ones that comes with logic pro with sum nice EQ and a bunch of reverb on it. Not really anything new but I jus' made a video for that song:

that sounds pretty great. So much of what I enjoyed about earthbound wasn't from it's gameplay or graphics but just that the writing was so charming and that the world was such a pleasant place to get lost in and explore.

I was pretty amazed by that animation! Good job dood! keep us posted on this.

I collabed with a guy on a track for a release (http://9bitrecords.bandcamp.com/album/9-bit-blizzard)
we have quite different tastes in our arrangements so we ended up making 2 versions of our collaboration! He's a minimalist, I'm a maximilast!

the problem wasn't that you didn't delete previous threads. It was that you were continuously making new ones. You can edit your original post or simply post another reply on it with more info/music. I don't really mind the fact that there are loads of your old threads lying around. That makes no difference to me. I can't think of any reason why you'd make so many new posts other than to as a way to avoid bumping a previous thread that already has more than enough bumps.

I'd just like you to make and maintain one portfolio post. Surely, one post with all your music in and relative detail and feedback from people you've worked with is better than a new thread with nothing in it or a bunch of threads with *bump* *bump* *bump*?

Again, I feel totally lame being some big rule enforcer but it's just that it got the point where it seemed indecent to me.

Type in the search bar "Majestic" you will find masses of portfolio posts made by yourself. I counted 10 in both audio and portfolios sections, I stopped so there may be more. I don't think it would be a lie to suggest you've made more than enough new threads that it starts to look like spam.

I messaged you and you ignored it, then I commented on your new portfolio thread which you also ignored, following this you made a new portfolio thread.

Part of me doesn't really care and I feel a little lame for making this post but then again this is a place where everyone is trying to find work and make a living and the way you're conducting yourself is a little cheap and disrespectful to everyone else there. I make no comment on your music or you personally but it's a little annoying to see my own thread plummet down because you're making new threads or just *bump*ing continuously.

I don't claim to be any authority so you don't really have to do anything. I'm voicing a concern about the way you conduct yourself here since you've ignored every other time I've done so before.

dude.......

get one portfolio - put it in the portfolio thread - don't bump with the word "bump", but with content: music or information on your availability or projects etc. etc.

please, please, please. I've messaged you tons of times before and i don't like to "shame" someone or call someone out but you've spamming yourself out so much making new threads about yourself every week and bumping them for no reason.

nothin' personal, jus a bit disrespectful to the active people trying to post informative things and get work and be a part of this community.
180  Developer / Audio / Re: Do you need music? on: January 31, 2013, 02:35:46 PM
i agree. i see lots of portfolio posts around these parts lately. If you don't want to delete it you could change it into a feedback/discussion about your music by other music people and not looking for work.
