One thing that I love about LoZ is the sound effects, and how despite being pretty abstracted, they indicate immediately what sort of effect they are.  The sword noise, the 'you got hit' noise, and the ever-famous 'you are low on life' bleeps all come across clean and quick.  Sound design is one of the little things that, for me, makes or breaks classic games, since in they will set up shop in the back of your mind and strongly dictate how 'into it' you can get, at least for me.

I would be more than happy if you could just stop banning me. I remember I used to come here when I was a little kid. I first heard about this place after I discovered spelunky on the game maker forums. I loved that game. I then learned about Adam atomic and Edmund McMillen. I found out about pixelart. I discovered the world of internet music. I had always been interested in games. So hearing that all of this was here, I couldnt wait to get registered. As a kid who's parents had not yet realized that religion and faith are two different things. I was taught pretty much the same "gays go to hell" thing. So somebody goes online, and starts bragging about how she/he lost his.her boyfriend. I felt sad for this person, thinking it was a girl. From what the poster said, his/her boyfriend was a total jerk. Of course then I realized he was a guy and totally freaked out. I did not KNOW that stating my opinion would get 90% of the forums angry at me. So,being that stupid 14something year old, I said something that  sounded good to me, but was even more offensive. I believe it was "get a girlfriend, its cooler that way."... Yes, I cant even remember WHY I said that. So everybody starts yelling at me even more, and in comes dragonmaw, saying that I'm a buffoon who needs to be banned for 7 days. After the 7 days of complete boredom(I did not know memebase or anything at that time) I came back and wanted to understand why you reacted the way you did. At the time, I did not know that shoving your opinion into someones face will make them realize your utter superiority(this is a pun, haters) Its obvious to say, I got banned. After a while I came back. I thought I could try to stay away from all this provocative bullshit. Dragonmaw said I will get banned if talk about homosexuality or religion, so I didn't. I forgot exactly why, but I got banned again in the thread about north Korea. Something about the US being a more corrupt country than north Korea... I still hold that opinion. I wont even try to explain why. Nobody on the planet would give a fuck and it certainly wouldn't solve anything. It's really funny now that I think about it. sad in a sense. sometimes I feel this world is a waste of time. Its mostly just slight depression. usually slight depression from my parrents arguing over shit like money. Sometimes its because I might flunk school, and even though I wish I didn't have to go to school, everybody says its important or something. Like I would need it and what not. Well fuck do they know!? Does a fucking piece of paper mean anything!? Then there's programming class and... Fuck! just.... argh! I have to do something useful with my life... Look, if it pains you so much to have me here, then I am sorry. As a result of certain "things" in my childhood, there's one thing I never learned. I can not be someone else who is not me. I have considered making new accounts and starting fresh in the past, but I could never get over everyone acting so... I don't exactly know how to describe it... unfamiliar to me. But then he realized that the world had a lot of shit going on. He understands that this shit will not be cleaned up unless someone does it... and it certainly seems like nobody wants to. So I will. See this is what I just dont understand. How can you say that my perspective is incorect while yours(maybe not yours. Sorry. Im just replying) is correct? The different perspective argument is a paradox because if YOU(or who ever) can think and do what you want, then I can think and do what I want. That cant be right.

So there eBook option has sprung up at an amazing 40 dollars.  That's pretty bad.

Just because the final retail value is 50 dollars, does not mean that it's really cool to make the people who, ostensibly, are funding the project pay 50 dollars.  He's shifting the costs of production onto them up front, with no benefit to the people stepping up.  There's no reason they shouldn't have an at-cost donation tier of, say, 20 dollars or however much.

40 dollars up front for an ebook copy is just inexcusable, even if he admits he's got to pay the publisher for them.

Him and the publisher are profiting a huge amount on the people they're trying to secure funds from.  Yeah there's some minor incentives like 'have your name written down in the book in a list no one will read', which is fine, but this whole operation is literally having the backers pay for the production of a product and still pay full price.

Ok, so Im on the tigsource forums. Its about idie game design. And the people there are... I dono... Straight or what. But apparently theres this one mod whose a complete homo-nazy. I mean GOD, this is a game making forum! WTF is everybody making homosexuality jokes!? So this mod is totally out of controll. I once got mad about this and made a post about the ethical aspects of it all(In the propper subforum) and got an insta ban as soon as the mod went online. Ok, then I reclaimed my position on the forums by convincing the other mods that this was not right.

A month later, still, somebody makes a retarded joke that they "will only work on making a game with me if its called homo erotic justice force". I replied that I would be ok as long as the justice force is fighting the homoerotic mennace. I also said that I have more against it from a public health point of view than an ethical point of view. AND STILL GOT A ONE DAY BAN!

It's not a completely unknown thing that people find it easier to follow a movement than to take a stand.  The vast majority of people just aren't equipped with the right blend of hardware required to kick anything off.
