About #SRWeternity : What network? Esper? As a general rule, get your channel registered with Chanserv and such before you talk about it publicly

Well, I'm kind of a jack of all trades master of fick all, but I can do some reasonable pixel art stuff. If you need some simple sprites done (preferably non-animated) I'll probably take it on, pop me a PM. But don't rely on me

Hmm. I can't think up any good ideas at all for the Adult/Educational compo, but this would probably be simpler to get an idea for. I won't be able to receive any cash prize though.
We'll see.

Props to you for rocking AOS4.0! I really wish it had survived in the mainstream, instead of the tiny niche it inhabits today.
I read this as AOL 4.0. Oooooooooooh lordy.

(Sorry for large post, there don't seem to be any spoiler tags) Here are some tilesets I made for my various Knytt Stories levels (mashed up into a single png): And a couple of screenshots of them in use:

So as long as you know SDL it's fine if you don't know C++, and if you know C++ you don't NEED to know SDL? If a programmer is experienced with C++ and SDL, why on earth would Direct-X and DarkBASIC knowledge be an advantage? Have you already started programming, and if not why have you decided to use SDL already? (SDL is great and all, but it's the programmer that should choose what to use) Is this game 2D or 3D? And do you really understand how big and difficult a project this will be? You certainly can't just take a complete PC game and make it available on PSP, it needs to be ported and in many cases completely rewritten. And multiplayer is a very hard thing to do... Sorry for all this, but I'm not convinced that you actually know what SDL and such is, or of the scope of something like this. The coders here will probably chew me up for suggesting this but if you're new to game dev, you may want to consider using something like Game Maker or Construct instead. Just my two cents pennies internationally recognized units of currency

I tried this: 1. Got the keys, went outside. 2. Went to the gun store to get some guns. 2. Can't be arsed with all the 'getting a license' minigames, so I just stab the storekeeper with the keys and take a pistol. 4. Went outside, shot up a few people. Got the police on my back, tried to escape but I got caught. Now I'm in the jail, not sure if it's scripted at this point or not... anyone know if it's avoidable? The escaping bit seems a bit dull and all too easy to get killed in (which reminds me, needs a quicksave). It's not so bad... but it needs streamlined, needs an easy mode or somesuch, a bit of polishing... might be pretty good, keep working at it EDIT: Also yeah, I hate it when alt-tab is disabled. It's never necessary, please fix it.

PureQuestion: Try bumping the points/EXP up to 9997 or thereabouts. The game is compact but there's a lot to do in the scope you're given.

It's a screenshot of the main game screen, doctored slightly for AA and such but representative of gameplay Hope that doesn't discourage you :/

Hi, I'm Dataflashsabot.
Dataflash is an old screenname, sabot is a type of shotgun shell from Deus Ex.
Yeeeeah.
Been hanging around in #tigirc for ages, thought I should sign up here :D
Love this place! I'm making stuff in Construct mostly, GM sometimes, AGS on occasion...
Hoping to spew out crappy awesome games and express my malformed opinions!
