Second one ,when the player kill one enemy,in this instant moment ,he is immortal. There could be a text showing like "Block" something... That seems like an excellent solution to the 'get hit anyway even if you kill an opponent' problem when fighting two opponents who attack at the very same time. Or... you could add the ability to attack at two places at the same time when pressing two buttons at the same time.

I think Jesus is a made up character entirely. If Jesus really was what he is said to have been, then there would have been many many more historical accounts of his existence throughout the earliest days.
Jesus never made a religion out of his believes other people with lust for power did.

I can do everything, but I'm not really excellent at anything. Same here, I'm able to do most thinks, and I think it averages out a lot in the end in terms of quality, but I don't want to judge my own games. Obviously I think they are 'okey', where some games really weren't. Actually finishing games is probably my weakest point of all though.

Well, we can also take the artists instead and make a game about (or for) them, instead of making a game "with" their music. I'm just thinking out loud here, but a game about for example Britney Spears (easy target hence why I take it as example ) should obviously have some kind of title that closely resembles Britney Spears, like "Kidney Cheers in 'How to become a grown-up'-therapy" or whatever other title that doesn't (directly) infringe copyrights. And although I'm all for not taking risks there sort of are ways in which you can make fan-based music that's both recognizable and doesn't infringe copyrights...

No, it is not "macro" enough. Macroevolution is when new, functional genetic material is added to an organism, and that organism(and one with the same mutation) mates and form a new species. With ring species, a bird's genes are diluted with another bird's genes, which are diluted with another bird's genes, which comes full circle. Of course, there won't be much genetic compatibility left after that. Is it evidence for evolution? No. Scientifically speaking there's really no such thing happening as 'macro-evolution' as you described as far as evolution goes, because evolution is more like a gradient of change all across the spectrum of species. There are evolutionary changes that tend to stay because they are either beneficial or do no direct harm to the survival of a species. This really does NOT mean that all changes are 'degenerative' in nature when it comes to the original DNA. You can duplicate DNA, have a mutation while this is happening and then you'd have basically new DNA. Whether it becomes functional or not is really a matter of chance, you shouldn't look at mutations as 'puzzle pieces'. The evolution of for example the eye has once started as a cell that was sensitive to light, there hasn't been one mutation that caused the whole thing to suddenly need a brain to register everything that happened. It has been a chain of mutation events where this light sensitive cell slowly changed into what we know call 'eyes'.

Wait, you mean that Trespasser wasn't simulating dinosaur physics realistically when they bounced up into trees? No, but it did simulate wooden crate physics and other objects rather accurately, at least for it's time. :D

Just a heads up for all you European countries out there: this is a big exaggeration. There is no "closed dialogue" in America. The Bush's approval ratings are abysmally low, as is support for the war. People are quite vocal about the president's fuck-ups, even in the media.
It is true that many Americans are racist though. Personally, I hate the Dutch. Crazy windmilling, wood-shod bastards.
Just kidding, they're all right. As long as they don't invade.
Lol, I always thought it were the US threatening us to be invaded by you guys if we would keep an American here to be judged by the special international court in The Hague... Apart from that, trust me ... we are WAY too small to invade other countries, in case of an invasion we don't even have enough soldiers to defend ourselves, let alone attack a country. :D By the way ... you are right, some are windmilling, wood-shod bastards, but you don't want to be friends with them suckers anyways.... :p

Agreed. Some games don't need them at all. I just hate having to go through a readme only to find out that i have to hold T and Z at once to shoot.
There are really good ways to slowly build up your game teaching the player how the game works, just by clever level design. There have been quite a few games that successfully did this, even some in the B-games compo. From what I've seen of Fez so far, it has this too... in the beginning you get taught by doing things and here and there you get a comment (as far as I've been able to see). That's the way to do it. Nobody reads manuals, let alone readme files.... it really should be in the game, but tutorials with dozens of lines of texts are B-O-R-I-N-G and should be a every designer's no-go....

I just played again to see if it happened and it didn't. But... I'm almost 100% certain it happened with the most recent version I've downloaded. (I had two, the setup.exe one downloaded at 25th of march and the nsr.zip downloaded a day later.)
I was playing the game for quite a while when it happened, perhaps choosing teams makes a difference somehow? I'll let you know if I find out about more specific details when it happens.

I don't know when you've updated the game, but I do assume I have played a rather new version because I did download the game right before posting my comment. I've played the "nsr.zip" version.

You're so getting my vote. This game is fun to play, incredibly funny to watch and the whole narcoleptic thing is implemented very well! Cheers! edit: By the way, there seems to be a tiny bug making my opponent's goalkeeper defending his goal next to the goal instead of in front of it... resulting in a ever open goal for me. He tends to move to much upwards on the pitch. Not sure under what circumstances this happened though.

One month is perfect indeed, I wouldn't change that.
As for the next contest... I really liked the Chinese bootleg competition-idea (aka Demake competition?), also liked the music-game or rhythm-game idea too.
I'm not so sure about the anti-gamer idea. Perhaps a nice excuse to practice some of my hypnotic skills.... but I tend to have more success with hypnotizing my cat.

I have a small request. Does anyone know a good alternative to FRAPS or CAMstudio? It doesn't have to be free per say, but I'd like to have some software with which I can record my game without lagging it to a halt. Thanks in advance.

Very cool and awesome looking from when I first only saw a few models you were making. The logo of the game does resemble a lot what a lego racer logo might look like. Apart from that which is a bit of nitpicking anyways, it looks really original in my opinion. I'm looking forward to seeing the game in action.
