Not sure, it's just something of mine that I've wanted to do, and to see it come to life is kinda exciting. Some random doodles I drew ages ago has become something.

That's cool, man. But what kinda feedback are you looking for, then?

Well, I played it when I first read your posts. You swap two blocks to make rows. Blocks fall from the ceiling as you play. You can cause chain reactions. Am I missing anything?

I'm curious why you're so excited about it, since you've posted it in three different places, you said its something you've wanted to make for over a year and you claim lots of people want to pay money for it. So I'm trying to figure out what makes this a game that people would want to play instead of one of all the other games that are pretty much the same thing.

Hey - a lot of people like this though and would gladly pay for the final release (though it's free).

Really?

Last block-based game I played that I really liked was BlockSum and that was free.

What is supposed to set this apart from the other match N games?

Er... yeah. Just find a tool that works for you, whoever "you" happen to be. Try out lotsa stuff. Every app has a learning curve, and some will suit your individual tastes better than others.

FL Studio does all I need it too and its affordable. Wink

This is fun... For some reason I'm thinking the next theme could be... "chickens".

Does that make any sense to anyone but me?  Undecided

Aside: It might be cool for one of the game dev competitions to be based around a music track. i.e. make a game based on a selected piece of music.

Oh, oh, I wanna be on team Manhugs!

Don't we all. Sad

The compo theme could also be Manhugs...  Wink

But i don’t, it’s not for everyone: Lame graphics, crazy hard levels, …" - Blueskied

"I have made a new game, perhaps you want to try it? I am offering 30% off! It will be very cheap, but I think its fun. I hope you will try??" - SMiyamoto99

Ah... a Dark Castle themed level would be awesome. That game put a lot of interesting stuff on single screens.

(for the record, I played Beyond Dark Castle on the Amiga)

Alec's point is that you'll get a lot more mileage and happiness out of working on a game just because you love working on games. I know that that's a big part of why I do it, but certainly it's not the only one.

My point is that if you don't love making games (at least), you shouldn't be an indie game developer.
