I have watched the first two episodes of Tatami Galaxy, and already I know that it will end TOO SOON. LOVE <3
It gets even better! And better and better! Seriously, I'm itching to watch it again versus starting Baccano. I want to pay a little more attention to the animation this time, because of the little things I missed while reading the subs. Things like Higuchi letting birds eat food in his mouth. And TG indeed ends way too soon.

I hope Pender removes leveling ASAP, as leveling is the only thing that encourages killing enemies. It doesn't fit into the freeform design of Brogue, and would be much better without it.
EDIT: Someone on the Brogue forums was complaining that monkeys weren't interesting, just annoying. For one, I think in keeping with the roguelike tradition of interacting mechanics, allied monkeys should be able to steal from your enemies, giving you what they steal. What they would steal, I dunno, but it could make monkeys worthwhile to try and keep alive.

Unless things have changed, I remember leveling having an effect on percent chance to hit.

I appreciate glitches that happen when I want them to happen. Like the soul trap glitch in Morrowind that lets you permanently increase attributes and skills into the thousands. Not for use on my main character, but a secondary one when I just want to have stupid fun.
Glitches like the Skyrim one in the OP only break immersion for me.

i actually find detect magic potions more useful than identify scrolls early game
Especially because they reveal secret rooms.

Brogue homepage--- i think we may need a proper brogue thread
Pretty much. Had a really good run going for a while, enchanted an axe of speed to +10, which allowed me to hit every enemy next to me, and get another free turn 75% of the time. Had a staff of healing, an allied troll + Ogre. I thought this would be the game I would at least beat my old record of getting down to floor 12.....and it was. But only because I hit pitfall trap after pitfall trap. Found myself fighting two salamanders after falling 4 levels, and my last option was to throw a pitfall potion to get rid of them. I was too close though, and fell with them, losing my last HP on impact.

The Tatami Galaxy was one of the best things I've ever seen. I had to stay away from the thread for a couple of days to avoid gushing about it Seriously, I'm about to watch the finale again just to see the last ten seconds. This makes the list of animes I've seen all of: Cowboy Bebop Trigun FLCL Fist of The North Star Yuu Yuu Hakusho and The Tatami Galaxy Going to watch Redline soon, and think of which anime to watch next.

I just played Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage again, and finally realized it's a terrible game. I let how much I like the anime/manga blind myself to that for the first 50 hours.

Oh wow, I played Otogi years ago. Got stuck on a brutally difficult level involving near invisible flying serpents.
On some levels, flying around like that doesn't do a whole lot of good, as spawners can hit you with a ton of small flying enemies. Would play again if the disc wasn't lost to time.
Ever play the sequel C.A. Sinclair? IIRC, that one had more playable characters, and focused more on boss fights.

I am 95% sure this is how I installed it, but this could be newer or I could be dead wrong. I did get the game working, with issues. The audio stuttered at times, and it took minutes to open/close any menu. I gave up in frustration, but will try again with the setup you linked, thanks thernz.

Is the world changing graphics styles on the fly going to be in the game or is that just something they did for the trailer?
I'd bet it's just for the trailer, as there's also that theatric bit with Bass killing Megaman.

Grim Fandango.
Even though I was a fan of Lucas Arts point and clicks, I somehow missed this one. Tried to play it recently, but couldn't get it working well in Vista 64 bit. I would kill for a re-release.

Treasure Adventure Game looks gorgeous. Reminds me a lot of An Untitled Story.
I'm going to wait for it to exit Beta, though.
Same here, I couldn't even get through the intro without the game locking up. Sigh. At least I've really been enjoying Psycho Waluigi, the last level is so boss!
