21  Jobs / Offering Paid Work / [FOUND] Need trailer for rhythm game coming to Steam on: March 27, 2015, 09:49:15 AM
I'd like to get a release trailer for Pulsen's (http://pulsengame.com/) Steam release.

I need someone to make a short release trailer for the game featuring:
  • Some interesting charts
  • Why the game exists
  • Why people would want to buy it
  • How people can play it

What you need:
  • Prior experience working with game trailers (even fake game trailers)
  • Bonus points if you make something related to rhythm games or Pulsen itself
  • Video examples of related works
  • Marketing experience

Contact me if you're interested: http://pulsengame.com/contact. I will not respond unless I'm considering you.

Best vid I have on the game:

From all the emails I've gotten, I think I didn't describe this well. The game is already made; I just need 5 Steam trading cards made, not a whole new trading card game. The 5 other cards will look like the cartoon characters I attached in my post.

I'd like someone to make some new art assets for my game Pulsen (http://pulsengame.com/). It was recently Greenlit on Steam and will be set for release soon.

I need someone to:
  • Make 5 new character images

What you need:
  • Photoshop or compatible (I'm open to vector graphics if you can make them look as good as the originals)
  • Create these images in a very specific style
  • Be able to draw dance positions that don't look awkward

I'd have a better chance of choosing you if you could send me a sketch or other works that's done in the same style.

Contact me if you're interested: http://pulsengame.com/contact.

Thanks for the amazing responses! I've reviewed all the emails and found someone whom I think best fits what I'm looking for Smiley!

I really appreciate everyone who emailed in. I know it's tough to get this kinda work and if you haven't gotten an email back yet, I'll make sure to get you one soon.
25  Jobs / Offering Paid Work / [FOUND] Looking for C++ developer to help w/ Greenlit game on Steam on: December 08, 2014, 06:18:18 PM
I need a C++ developer to help me get my game in a workable state up on Steam. The game's done, it's been out for 3 years now, it's using C++ and Lua and is called Pulsen (http://pulsengame.com/).

2 years after putting the game on Greenlight, Pulsen was finally Greenlit (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=92922878). The issue I'm having is it's been so long I no longer have the time to spend working on the game full time.

I need someone to help me get the pieces completed so I can get the game up on Steam:
  • Async operation so the game doesn't freeze while waiting for online data.
  • Steamworks integration (pulling in Steam user IDs and cloud-saving score files).

What you need:
  • Visual Studio 2012 (or 2013+ if you can get the game to compile).
  • Ability to talk either on the phone or on Skype.
  • At least a basic knowledge of Git.
  • Some knowledge of rhythm games.
  • A rational mind.

Payment is largely going to depend on how easily you think you can work w/ the game's engine.

Please contact me if you're interested in working on this project: http://pulsengame.com/contact.

EXTRA:

I spent many years making this game and would love to have a partner work with me to get it on Steam.

I have a bunch of goals for this project that never got finished. If you show me you can do the basics, I would like to keep you on for the long-term finishing up the rest of the things I was working on 2 years ago.

I'm really lovin' unity. It makes it possible for indie games look much much closer to AAA games in a much shorter timespan.

Awesome stuff!

We're also running a giveaway for a mini-pack if you tweet about the game.

Today we released Pulsen revision 0004 along with the newest DLC pack Pulsen: Souleye.

:: Pulsen r0004 ::

NOTE: Pulsen itself is free.

In this revision of Pulsen, we’ve added many requested features such as timing-based scores, more speed mods, saving modifiers even after closing the game, and a couple new effects while playing charts. You’ll also find two free songs added which were originally going to be in Pulsen: Ultra I.

:: Pulsen: Souleye ::

We worked closely with the musician Magnus Pålsson--also known as Souleye--for over a year to bring you the Pulsen: Souleye DLC pack. It comes with 12 songs made specifically for Pulsen or remixed with Pulsen in mind and 8 VVVVVV themed noteskins in both 3D and 2D variations.

:: More Information ::

For more information, visit our blog or check out these Pulsen Developer Commentaries on YouTube where we talk about Pulsen r0004 and Pulsen: Souleye.

I’m happy to answer any questions you have and would love to hear about your experiences with the game!

Hey, I'm Kevin, a developer of Pulsen. I live in a populated area of Kansas in the US, and have been playing games on consoles and computers since age 6.

My favorite types of games are ones where you can really tell every little detail was accounted for by the developers.
