Played way more of this than I should have, really! It's great, super addictive, would be awesome on my iPhone for sure. As for the timer thing, you could just have a shadow on the left, that as you get nearer and nearer, seems to form a deathly hand or the silhouette of a Reaper or something. There could be a flashing red or purple light when you're almost getting caught by it, then an animation of the hero being swallowed by it when it's game over. Balancing seemed pretty good until after I got all doors and 2-3 upgrades, then my progress slowed down to a crawl. I'm sure you'll balance everything out in the final build. As for teaching the player to "clean up" the board of rocks and wood, your little blurbs actually did get me to do it often, so I think you did great. If you really want to get this into a player's head, you could, I dunno, have him encounter NPCs in the first few games? Maybe an old lady with a broom saying "Love it when there's no monsters around, gives me time to clean up all those rocks and all that wood lying around!"

I keep referring to this thread, when I need awesomeness to inspire me. Even the way you're showing this art and the UI in cute, perfectly aligned jpgs, down to the perfect font for it, to the little details, man, this is SO inspiring. /drool

From our Toronto Game Jam game Diluvium, where I spent the whole time drawing ALL THE ANIMALS. Some of those were made by Aliceffekt (Moogle, Pikachu and Companion Cube), so is the logo.

As for the wiki idea, I'm sure we can provide vague stats and assets for it.

Thanks everyone. HOW was this made in 3 days!? I really dig the art style. Does the player directly control the animals or do they have AI?
Diluvium was made by 4 amazing people, that's how! We split up the work according to each team member's strengths. The animals have their own AI, based on their stats! this looks great! Does the order animals are stacked in make a difference to their stats?
The order does not change anything, no.

I love this game. I haven't won the game yet, so why am on these forums instead of in the game getting those precious dollar dollar bags??

Here's a pic of all the animals I drew for Diluvium. There's 85 animal categories (some are secret, so they don't appear in this pic), 255 animal names that you can type in and summon in the game.
