Played through Turrican 2 on the Amiga yesterday and started Super Turrican on the SNES. So far Turrican 1 and Mega Turrican are my favs.

I miss summers and the Amiga.

It was such a busy April I missed that Deadly Premonition on the PS3 came out.  Good looking out.  I may head out to pick it up today.  I had it on the 360 and loved it, and hated it, but it also started a Twin Peaks viewing party.

Need more time for games!!  I'm really jones'n for a good table top game.

I wish I could say I finished it.  This month has been nutso crazy with demands from outside.  I had so much paperwork, and things to file or mail, but it is totally over.  It should be; April is just about done.  I also invoiced my first bits of art for a puzzle book.

I see the little System Shock icon dead center on the desktop everyday.  Teasing.  And I totally intend to play more.

Knowing April is over and May is following so closely behind, I suggest another vote.  Another vote!!  Let's roll one out in May.  I am voting Resonance if the vote goes open.

I use nowdothis.com because it's simple and doesn't make list making a distraction in of itself.

That is exactly what it felt like.  Just another thing to do.
I felt I needed a list for the list that was growing and growing and growing.

I used Workflowy for about 2 weeks.  Loved it.  Then fell out of love with it.  It was so antiseptic feeling.

I now am back to sheets of paper, 2 notebooks, a sketchbook, and a bound graph book.

The problem with Workflowy and me:  I couldn't draw arrows and boxes around stuff to direct my attention, and I couldn't scribble out and draw junk over finished items.

Found out about

yesterday, sorta like Led Zeppelin + Black Sabbath.

..but totally only influenced.  Not inspired.

It reminds me of the first time I heard WolfMother.  I thought the lo fi and triplets were worth listening to.  Then like a week later I never listened to it again.

Super Sabbath'y however.

Its kinda like listening to Liam Gallagher not do but do not do the Beatles.

Perfect Timing.

Nowhere is a Survival Horror game released in 2007 for cell phones. Not smartphones, mind you, cell phones, with the number pad and the shitty screens and the java etc.

It's pretty good though!

A giant snail. I like it.

Yup.  Totally like.. putting that one in the memory banks.

The Holy Mountain (Jodorowsky) is a great film.  (Not a movie).
Rubin and Ed is a great movie.  (Not a film).

..either way, two of my favorites right there.

Emmy the Great!!  Emmy the Great!!

EMMY!! She's great! Have you heard her track on The BPA album? Defo one of my faves.

No I haven't that I know of.  I heard lots of her when LightSpeed Champion's (partner in crimes Devonte Hynes) first full length came out, what about, 2008'ish.  She had tons of self recordings and singles.  I see she has an album called First Love not long after that from what I can see.  I'll have to hunt it down.

Taken: going to watch "The Staircase"

Currently:  On season 4 epi. 7 of BattleStar Galactica.  Never had it spoiled once, never watched it once until this year.  I've been super impressed.  Screw Zombies, give me Cyclons.

My only complaint about the game is that if you put your stats into stats X and Y, you find yourself getting screwed over later in the game because you didn't have any points or enough points in stat Z. If that made sense.

It makes total sense.  Loud and clear.

I still love its frantic'ness.

So is this just a modern The Newly Weds Game??  I don't get what's so awesome about it?

I mean I've laughed at Mad Libs sure.  I was ten.  And then again years later.  I was drunk.
160  Player / Games / Re: TIGS Game Club: System Shock 2 on: April 12, 2013, 07:21:30 PM
As for the game, I liked the '4 year' sequence at the start to choose your stats, but I mistakenly spent modules later on on PSI crap instead of beefing up my STR, so I can't wear this bloody armour I've been carrying around for ages.

Me too... hrmm... art imitating life?!  I mean how did they know..
