Holy example of Second Game Theory Batman!! This is so cool to see all the ideas I am familiar with implemented in varying better and worse degrees. There are even chips, sodas, and vodkas laying about. When I picked up Bioshock Infinite on ps3 and received the first Bioshock with it which I hadn't played in years, I was super excited. Now, the first Bioshock will have to wait a few weeks while I dive into System Shock 2. (I was just lamenting the fact that Bio:Inf. has no research, I already mentioned in some other thread no map, and most of the view box things in B:I seemed very lacking to me (art visually and what it had to say conceptually) with the exception for some reason I loved the one in Inf. that was just a view of the hummingbird flying and moving about.)
I really like the random junk all the enemies say. I heard one say "Your song is not our song" or something really close. Oooh.. so awesome.
I also appreciate all the audio logs. Lots of tiny details in its story build bits. Love it.

Audition has that crazy high pitched tink tink sound in it through out the movie.
I checked it out. The Masters of Horror Miike is Imprint. And he does a great visual one in the ass end of Three Extremes, which has three shorts making its full length. Bai Ling in the first one selling 'dumplings', the guy who did The Host directing one, and the Miike's stark wintery one finally.
Take out Ichi and prolly Visitor Q from what is the Miike talk of the last few posts and thats about all of his stuff I really liked. Audition has its moments. But its just moments to me.
Imprint and Box (from Three Extremes) are about my favorite.

Visitor Q is one pretty nutty ride. Have you seen alot of Miike's films??? He did a pretty decent one shot show in a series on Showtime/HBO(?) called Masters of Horror.

I have none of these games. And I wanted to participate... Next time, maybe. Hehehhe.. I guess. Thats pretty funny. I haven't looked at Fallout on Steam in a while. I may have to grab New Vegas when I get some free time if its only ten bucks. Or when I don't have free time.. doesn't mattah. First it looks like I'll be grabbing System Shock 2 off Gog.

Get outta here.. Hocus Pocus by Focus or whichever way it is. I just heard that for the first time at work. Some nut I work with is so into really early prog rock and bunches of Uriah Heap and that some such nonsense. To which I understand through the undertones is explicitly linked to such fine acts as the Dictators and the New York Dolls. So I give it all pardon.
And for some Neil Young. Before the battery died in the car, I was rolling with some Mirrorball. Great album. Can't break it into songs. Album. (But skip Downtown.. its a throwaway).

I've done some thinking about the game club since I saw its child board in the Games forum. I realize that some games are hard, long or require quite a bit of commitment. Some games just aren't worth it and are a true waste of time. (How come that sounds too much like relationships... hehehhehe)
So, how does it work smoothly in a game club?? Dunno. But if you take it and give it an analog like a book club: how would it work. Books are simple. Open it, read it, turn page, read it, comprehend it.. and so on and so forth. Not much barrier there. I think just because a book is a book it can work if a group of say 15 people never even heard of a particular book.
With a game being a game, I think the group almost needs someone, or someones, who have at least given the game that wins the vote a play through, or a handful of hours sometime in the past. Just so the group understands what its committing to. And if the game thats up for the month is too much commitment. Well, hang around read the discussion, play it in your own time and see what we may be talking about, and join in next month if you can.
Almost as if a few of us steward the game. And mebs in the months that either the game is tough to get, too expensive, or on a system/emulator that is difficult to acquire we could have a sideByside game to go along. This could be a game from an old month. And because it is, we would have plenty to discuss to the members just giving it a first run.
Otherwise Gog is always a great place to just select out of. And really the prices are pretty tiny there. Tinsy tiny.
And yes with this all said, I volunteer myself if there is any work to be done in the background for this to go over well.

So System Shock 2 has been thrown around here alot lately, and I swore I played it or System Shock one back in the day. The fact that System Shock was an Origin game I figured was in my favor because I loved most Origin games back in the day.
But after the phone call I had with my brother today, one hour (not a record, but out of the ordinary) talking mostly about games.. prolly 5 minutes to ten spent on the reason for the call, lol, I have figured out that what I thought was System Shock (1 or 2) actually was...
wait for it..
..Creature Shock!!!!
Oh the horror. Its amazing I didn't get this mixed up with Sewer Shark.. hehehhehehe.

I'll go ahead and cast a vote for: System Shock 2. Designed by Ken Levine, and dev'd by Irrational Games and Looking Glass Studios. And guess what.. it is set for 1999 mode out of the box. 1999 pub'd date!!

I'll be down for Arx Fatalis or System Shock 2. And yes, I have seen them on GoG. I was checking out System Shock 2 yesterday on there.
I guess then a vote for SS2 from me. We'll see where this goes and I'll grab it off GoG anytime.
Sanitarium looks pretty nice.. I have Arx about the apartment somewheres.

Are people still into the Game Club?? I'd be interested in joining everyone. From the dates it looks like it has dropped off and out.

I just want to know where my 'map' is. And that I miss fucking up a hack on a camera or bot, etc.. only to get pummeled by gunfire because of it.
Where is my map?? Game felt so linear without it. I never feared getting lost.

I adopted Workflowy. Thanks for the suggestion. I began to have multiple lists of the same lists all over, and if couldn't jam them under something on the desk then they made it to the walls.. and if it made it to the walls then a specific white cat named Anna always tried to take 'em down.
So I am now going to use Workflowy. See how that goes. Already I have reformatted the 'list' three times in two days..

I think I might be alone in this but I couldn't even get through about the first 2 hours of Dishonored. That art made me gag, over and over, and then gag, and then gag.. and then have Disney/Fable sweats. Rrreetch! It was just not my temperature at all.... not close.
It was awful to me.
But I do have friday off, and I have plans.. to go get Bioshock Infinite and raise some of that for Easter.

Ichi the Killer is basically one of the most fucked up thing I have ever seen. Not necessarily because of the gore.
You ever watch Singapore Sling?? Its Noir. And super messed.
