I'm starting Soul Reaver, playing these games in chronological order, or the order that makes the most sense since the story is just insane. [/quote] That is the best one in the series I believe. I just put it on my psp about 2 weeks ago. And I guess in a way its the first in Razael's series but a part two in the whole series which is the Legacy of Kain. Making the top down Zeldalike Legacy of Kain:Blood Omen the first of the whole bunch. And the only one in the series I never finished, my LoK:Blood Omen always had some error on it and froze at the same spot. I installed Spec Ops on the ps3. I am taking all I heard about it and trusting it. I have no interest in Military shoot shoot games at all.

Watched I Spit on Your Grave. Aside from the heavy subject totally related to TIGS hot topics, I kinda enjoyed the direction, including the prelude to the rock rape scene, and the entire lack of music.
The original?? Or the remake?? I myself have never seen the remake and the original only once. I watched it during a 70's no-budget drive-in grindhouse exploitation kick. Can it be called a good revenge story? Or just a revenge story? The lack of music used in visual story telling is always great used wisely. Also, really good on the budget. Reminds me of how sparse music and sound was in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre as well. I've been trying to watch Alien(s) movies that aren't Alien(s) movies. Made it through Leviathan, and Event Horizon... (Wow, it was hard to be believe how bad and old Leviathan was, however the main baddie reminded me so much of resident evil bosses I ate it up.) Granted these gems are just what I can grab of netflix streaming. Another crafted view on rape is Gaspar NoƩ's Irreversable. I have never seen it. I really enjoyed his film I Stand Alone. A bunch of film school friends passed his name down to me. I never desired to watch Irreversable.

I have a legitimate question. Why does no one make FMV games anymore? Are they just not in style anymore or...?
You mean like Sewer Shark, and Night Trap?? And didn't Dark Forces 2 do it as well. I think the 13th Guess is on greenlight on steam. I think they just moved on. Maybe games had a realization that they weren't movies, a sort of identity leveling. I dunno really.

I jumped from one end of the spectrum to the other, Art to Computer Science, during my college years. I was the last class to go through the program that started, and stayed with c++. The year after me that was enrolled went with javascript. I don't know if they wound up back at c++ by the end. My life pretty much imploded and exploded so I never finished. I had only programmed in basic on a commodore 64 when I was younger.
I am however incredibly grateful for that year. Without it, I don't believe that I'd be anywhere near where I am today doing the 'self taught' thing. I am no where near where I want to be (and that is something I intend to say in the future too... f' laurels, right?, when they rest), but I am so totally trusting the process and the time I've been putting into it.
I have not, in a long time felt, that creative, expressive, methodical spark like I have since the end of last year.

I grabbed it too last night after work on Steam. Just like normal, I was going to sit down for a few hours before making some dinner after work and jam on some more code. Not like normal, I spent those hours playing Spellunky. Aah-Whoops!

For a "game in there" western, that is also just good pulp, you can always give El Topo a try. Not traditional in any means. And colorful. It almost does a lone wolf and cub thing at the same it does a No More Heroes type of kill these men on this ladder to be the best gunslinger. Its Jodorowsky, so normalcy is out of the question.

Road tripping to the gf's parents, and making the discs to go... Right now, making the Johnny Thunders, Westerberg, Jesse Malin discs. Picking up beers before we get there. Might be a party??

Thought I should post a new gif.
This was my first attempt at learning actionscript at uni years ago. Making a basic point and click.
Oh my. I really like that. Really like that.

Volunteering myself and my girlfriend to test. Sober'd to drunk'd. Plus, I think I can pull another couple or two into it and we can do a four man run of it.
We can test on pc and on tablet.

Just checked out the new Babyshambles single from the upcoming third album. What a disappointment. All the edges and boundaries are in place to keep the song contained. This is not a Doherty type of sound. I kept hearing tinges of Smiths (of course), but why does it sound like shit Cure from the mid to late 90's and on??! Eew..
Real bummed out about it.
Give me Mick Jones behind the boards again!!

Ah nuts. Getting in the way back machine here.
First system I can remember was the Magnavox, can't remember if it had a special name or not, it did have a slider selector to play different sports games which were all pong variations of one kind or another. Tennis anyone? This was followed by an atari 2600. Lots of space invaders and missle command getting played by the 'rents. Next up not to many years later I remember getting the 5200.
(I am beginning to realize how lucky I was growing up with all these things now...)
And around 7th or 8th grade I begged for a computer to 'learn' with. I really just wanted to play Aliens on the c64, that and Bruce Lee. I was given one. So lots of c64 games and programming magazines happened in those summers. And Sid Meyer's Pirates. I also had a paper route around this time, so my brother and I bought an Amiga in the following years. Somewhere in there we had a NES, bought a genesis, bought a SNES, bought a sega CD, etc. You know what I didn't buy?? A car.
And the rest is history. Honestly I was real lucky. Of all the consoles I never played much N64.
I was such an idiot. I remember using some, or most, of my graduation money to buy a sega game gear. Like Chakan wasn't enough on the genesis... yeah, that was worth it. But there was an awesome Oasis something RPG I played the hell outta.
And since. Just better pc's and new gen consoles. Over and over.

Just came up with another slow'ish movie. I call it slow because of the 'basically got the stage set' it used for the film. And its really just two characters.
Bug. I always treat as a love story, albeit one no one wants to live out.
