the whole lost izalith section of the game reminds me of those horrible doom maps made by 12 year old kids where they just make a big box and fill it with cyber demons. you're delusional if you think it's good level design in any way shape or form.
There's nothing wrong with maps of nothing but cyberdemons though, see Cyberdreams.

Lower budget kid oriented version, and it's coming out the same day as the new Pokemon game? I think it'll do well.

It's improved in some ways, but in others I feel like it's a downgrade from the first. None of the heists are as big as the ones in the first, and there aren't as many police swarming around either. I liked the level up system the first one had, in this you have to just get lucky to get the attachments you want, or else it'll dump useless ones you don't want for guns you don't have and it's a waste of your time. The police are still buggy, clipping through walls and things like that. Many times I've seen an AI player get downed but still run around like he's alive. It's really fun though, despite the bugs and flaws it has, and it'll only get better as the devs work on it.

I'm astounded that additional gamepads are $50 bucks each. You can get pretty much any other gamepad for less, and you'd be getting a much more solid, proven design that isn't gonna fall apart in your hands or have nasty issues. You'll miss out on the touchpad, but that's not going to be a big loss since I can't imagine multiplayer games are going to be using them, and you don't need one if you're playing alone for most games either.

Best PC game ever, where would we be without the series that invented the FPS?

No trouble starting the game. Runs great on my system with the default settings, which isn't too powerful or too weak. I feel like King's Field style combat would be lovely in this. Looking around kinda feels awkward to me. I haven't tried this enough to really say much more, at this point. I feel like there is a lot of potential here!

I had trouble getting into Elona, but I still had fun messing around. I wouldn't call it very simple though. IIRC it's not being developed anymore, either, which stinks.

The beta convinced me to buy the full game, absolutely wonderful. Music's better than Diablo 3, heh heh.
I think I read that the music is done by those who did D1 and D2's soundtrack, I thought it sounded good!
